Missouri 4th straight sellout. Best since 1980

Guess it's time to see if we've solved our crowd noise issues on offense. Missouri will be a solid test in every way.

I really hate the “sold out” narrative these days. These games are truly not sold out. Take a look at ticket sites when Mizzou and Tennessee kick off Saturday and the tix that people ate will still be on there.
"Sold Out" simply means that the SCHOOL has sold every available ticket. With the way today's ticket system works there will always be tickets available. Tickets on the secondary market have already been sold at least once. You can buy tickets to ANY event if you're willing to pay. Would you ever consider the Super Bowl or Final 4 Championship game not "Sold Out"?

I know I made a joke earlier but stadium size is not that big of a deal. The passion of the fanbase and the belief that the team gets from the energy are more important. We will have to bring our A+ game because what I've seen is two evenly matched teams.

The real story here isn’t that they had a sellout but rather than they have <70k seats and can’t sell it out on a regular basis. That’s amazing

And if you look at Ticketmaster even the secondary market they're practically giving tickets away.

I found tickets on the 50 in row 2 that were sold for 125.
The most expensive seat on TicketMaster was $229, row 1 behind the Mizzou bench, by comparison $229 will not get you into the UGA game, and in the south endzone upper deck for the Vandy game.

I suspect there will be between 10-20k Tennessee Fans there just like there was for the Kentucky game.

Mizzou is a joke and their fans are fair weather. It was only a few years ago that their head coach was buying thousands of tickets to give away to fans. That and they were fudging numbers to make it seem like more people were buying tickets than there actually were becuase they were only getting 25k fans lol. Thats why they had to release a tutorial video to teach their fans how to properly cheer.
Must have been loud as heck with the echoes and all.

Weren't they doing construction the last time we played them there?

Seem to remember their stadium kinda looking like Vandys does now in terms of construction equipment everywhere.
No, those rocks laying all over the place are actually the stadium

I checked Wiki and they have 31,000 students. Small turnout for games it appears.

How is this a. SEC program?

From Saturday Down South:

"Missouri is having one of its best season and recent years, and the Tigers have now achieved a historic feat.

It was announced Sunday that Missouri’s home game against Tennessee next Saturday is sold out, making it 4-straight sellouts for the first time since 1980 for the Tigers. Missouri’s games against Memphis, LSU, South Carolina and now Tennessee were all sellouts. It’s safe to say fans are excited about this year’s team."

Unsure how they consider this sold out when there’s almost entire rows of unsold tickets directly from mizzou but ok.
