Missouri,Arkansas new coach..new year- Coaching matters

Watching Missouri play Georgia with a first year coach it’s hard to believe how well they are playing. The enthusiasm on both offense, defense and the bench shows how far off we are from being a contender. Missouri is playing above their level against Georgia. Arkansas so far is playing Bama tough. My beloved Vols look like we belong in the Sun Belt conference. We are loaded with talent but can’t put together a team that can compete. Sad to say but we aren’t coached up at all. Why do we have the drama year after year? Sick of this mess. Eleven years and we haven’t progressed and it doesn’t look like we ever will.
Mizz lost to UF by 24. Arky lost to UF by 28. Vols lost to UF at their best by 12.
Mizz lost to UGA by 35! Arky lost to UGA by 27. Vols lost to UGA by 23.
Arky lost to Bama by 49! Vols lost to Bama by 31. Mizz lost to Bama by 19 in mid-Sept. Bama was much better a month later.
Vols beat Mizz by 23.
We're bad. Just not quite as bad as Mizz or Arky right now. I've never been on the Pruitt bandwagon. But, I don't think it's best to part ways just yet. Give him one more season. He could get better, can't get much worse. If he can't win 7 next year, show him the door. Keep in mind that there is a very long list of 1st time head coaches that have failed in the SEC. Fulmer and Smart are exceptions, and both inherited loaded teams at top-tier programs. Pruitt inherited a $hit-show at a lower-tier program.

They did look better than us against Kentucky and Arkansas though. That's really the rub with this season. I don't think people would be that upset with the season without those 2 losses. Sitting at 4-4 with losses to Top 5 Bama and Florida at home and at Top 10 Georgia and always tough Auburn, while not everything we would hope for, would be respectable and not a step backwards. As it is, those two losses leave quite a sour taste at 2-6 instead.
