Missouri at #7 S. Carolina Game Thread (CBS 3:30pm EDT)

yep.

probably their first into 90 degree, humid-heat parts of the country as well

(they mentioned on TV the heat tends to work against this style of play also)

Their hurry up won't be too successful in the sec early in the year if they don't get used to warmer temps.

SVar looks good. Too bad there won't be an upset. I fAt fingered my picks and didn't realize I took Mizzou.

ah ok, so it's 26 completions in a row set by East Carolina's Dominique Davis last year

Yeah and tee was 23 of 23 against USC in 98. They said 24 because his last completion of the previous game made. I didn't read the article, just what I think I remember.

Pinkell and Franklin kid aren't going to be getting all the hype people were trying to give them in the preseason.

what hype are we talking about here?

they spent most of the offseason dealing with what essentially amounted to hearing "y'all gonna get raped by everyone next year" (as far as fans mainly went)

a few experts gave them darkhorse candidacy in the east race, but most were placing them in the 6 to 7 win range; 8 maybe if they were to have beaten UGA

I feel several experts did give them the dark horse place to win the east. I also heard a lot of our fans claim he may be a better coach in the SEC without coaching a game in the SEC at that point.

I feel there was some hype for them coming into the east. I was/am one of the fans that said they would get raped or hoped that they didn't have intial success in the SEC.

I am pretty sure a lot of people wanted to give them more credit than I thought they deserved. Maybe it is homerism on my part that I felt they got too much hype because on VN several people said Mizzou would beat UT.

4th and 1 sneak (5 on the line), dropped the snap

huh, going into today (from 2011) they've had 3,662 rush yards and 3,661 pass yards

Who the hell runs a QB sneak with no TEs in the game? That was nuts.

my guess was the idea was to catch them off guard (since it started from the shotgun, and he came to the line in the same way as he had earlier in the drive to audible)...however on 4th and short, theyre going to be using a run-stop defense anyways
