I have always contended that Missouri did not deserve to be in the SEC, and it had nothing to do with how well their fans cheered.
They never will belong in the SEC and yes we do share a 42 mile border with them but they would be a much better fit in the big ten than SEC. We should’ve left them in the Big 12.

Missouri teaches its fans how to cheer

I fully expected this thread to be about OnlyFans.

We recognize how pathetic it is, because we don't even remember how we "learned" what, how, and when to yell at a college football game. We learned by observing what older students did, both in high school and then at college.

And that's why I doubt that Missouri is the only school resorting to this kind of student education.

COVID lockdowns. The classes who went through high school with no football game experiences, whether for lockdown or out of respect for "social distancing," are now passing through college, and that means there are few upperclassmen who are able to model proper cheering behavior at the games for the underclassmen.

This is the far less important side of the developmental delays that babies and children are going through.

"...a 2022 study has found ... nearly twice the risk of developmental delays in communication and social development compared to babies born prior to the pandemic. [...]

Delays in communication can mean a child learns to talk later, talks less or uses gestures like pointing instead of talking. Social developmental delays might be present when a child doesn’t respond to their name when called, doesn’t look at what adults are paying attention to in the environment, or doesn’t play with other children or with trusted adults."

--------------
Maybe UT has stumbled onto a new theory of learning: freshmen learn faster when lessons are taught by 100,000 voices screaming in unison.

Now... let's try that Shakespeare sonnet again.

My biggest confusion is that they claim to be the number one journalism school in the nation...then they put out 4th grade videos like these to kill their credibility.

On second thought, perhaps they ARE ready for journalism jobs with the NY times

At least the Golden Girls are hot babes.

I honestly don't think it'll matter how hard they cheer. The acoustics in that stadium just don't lend itself very well to loud noise.

Good Lord.

That is embarrassing

If you don't know how to be a football fan, then stay at home.

I notice that they didn't cover how to act when the opposing team throws a 60 burger on you

Your big "tradition' at the start of the 4th quarter is to raise your hands. That's some innovative stuff right there. Even poor little GT is more original than that (Budweiser song)

I guess everyone reaches that age where they start finding the Golden Girls attractive.

You can tell they really don’t belong in the SEC. Even in the football clips in this video they show clips of them playing Kansas St.
