Missouri Trash Talk

Im from St. Louis and therefore have plenty of friends who are Mizzou fans. They are very confident in there ability to win in the SEC. I think they'll win some games but not more than 8.

Anyway, my friend sent this article (rant) to me today. Has to be the most self depricating trash talk I've ever read.

Missouri Tigers Athletics :: Mizzou College Sports :: TigerBoard.com :: An open letter to SEC fans

Any fan not proud of his team and willing to express his support for the same, isn't fan. Thus I have nothing bad to say about the Missouri fan spouting support, faith, and confidence in their team. We do the same. Those in our ranks who simply live to lambast CDD and out players so often might actually learn something from these Missouri folks about how to be a fan.

Maybe you should have replied "I didn't read the article". Or as simple TL;DR would have sufficed.

I've been saying since the season was announced that Mizzou was the biggest question mark on our schedule. We pretty much know what to expect from every team we play, except Mizzou.

Are they going to come in an win the east? Doubtful.

I think they will be very competitive and win some games most of think they wont.

Of course they're a question mark, but by the time they come around on our schedule we will know what they're about.

What a weird rant. He pretty much said that SEC teams cannot embarrass Missouri because of all the times they got stomped in the past, and he wants every SEC fan to know that. I have never seen someone brag about that before.

Between this and that ridiculous "We are Mizzou" video, I am beginning to wonder if accepting them into the conference was a mistake.

What I wonder is... What was so appealing about Missouri that they warranted an invite to the SEC? I understand A&M, although Mizzou has had arguably more success on the field. I have stopped in Columbia many times on my way through Missouri and looked around. But I never thought Wow this is a college I'd love to have in my conference.

Mizzou's ceiling is a lesser version of Arkansas IMO.

Duuno. Don't care. My view is that the deed is done, now let's all have fun.
