They got big sec signature win before we did
It would have, if there wasn't that retarded rule (fumbling a ball out of bounds in the end zone should bring the ball back to where it came loose). UGA got a freak-arse lucky break....plus some help from the referees to get a shot at OT in the first place. While I tend to agree, it durn sure didn't help us any.
Sure it does it shows uga was overrated n they still beat us n a mizz team on the road just smoked them.. It says that we actually played a bad GA team n lost so it points to still a bad TN team.
The vols need to beat somebody of relevance this year..
My apologies.
To clarify, I was calling out the "UGA Wins" part of your post. I've never understood when people say things like that when the supposed losing team is winning.
The 2nd part of my post was not directed at you, but was more of my general feeling.
I've been a Vol fan as long as I can remember. My father is an alum and drilled into my head at young age, "GO VOLS!" I've been in St. Louis for the past 28 years, so Mizzou is the adopted home team.
Since Mizzou has joined the SEC I have read on this board and others, how they have no business being in the SEC. Fact is they are not a bad program. I'd put them up against any of the mid & low tier SEC teams, and as we are seeing today, they can play with the upper tier teams as well.
I get part of it is the whole "pay your dues" mentality. I just feel like there is a lot of bashing by people who nothing about them.
Now that I have that off my chest, I'll finish by saying I'll be in Columbia on Nov. 2 proudly wearing my orange.
If we do not turn it around in 3-4 years that will be us or worse. Most SEC teams have the jump on us and we still are looking for that "signature win".To clarify, I was calling out the "UGA Wins" part of your post. just means they expect things to take a negative turn from there for said team
It's fine
By the way, love St. Louis. I think it's a great, fun city to live in (except winter sucks).
I went to Washington University for my undergrad, so I'm a bit more familiar than some of the posters with the city as well as the state's sports teams (history such, etc).
I think you're right on them. They'll be a good mid-level team most years (I've compared them to Ole Miss; they'll be that level and have some up years but, respectably, they haven't been able to break that threshold yet to be consistently successful)
You're cool.
