There's talent, but a lot of unknowns heading into next year. One would think Barnes would have to bring in an experienced PG wouldn't he?
You’re likely returning a 1st team All-SEC PG who will also be on the All-SEC Defensive team for the 2nd year in a row most likely, a preseason Cousy Award Watch List member almost certainly as well next year. I’m not saying we couldn’t use another ball handler but I definitely don’t think it’s a glaring hole or biggest need.

I think we need another PG. Doesn’t have to be a premium player who is an ALL-SEC caliber guard. But, ZZ has definitely looked a bit fatigued recently and we’ve seen what happens when he goes out with foul trouble. Feels like something we could use….unless Edwards makes massive strides this off-season.

Yep. ZZ has expressed a desire to come off the bench so another PG would certain address the points you made plus put ZZ in a role he's most comfortable with. And as we've seen, injuries do come. Not saying Edwards can't be an answer, but the lack of meaningful PT this year gives me pause.

Yea as I said I would take another ball handler, but I think you have your starting PG, I’ve not noticed the fatigue and just feel like that’s a common excuse folks want to use when a player misses a shot or commits a dumb foul etc…I think Dilione could handle the minutes at backup PG better than Key did this year, so that’s an option as well.

He said that preseason, when he spent his whole freshman year coming off the bench, I haven’t seen him say it again since?

Missouri getting killed now. Definitely doesn’t make us look any better after losing to them. 45-18 start of 2nd half. Was hoping they would win several more to make the loss look better
Most people realize that basketball is a lot like baseball; one game a pitcher might pitch a no hitter; the next give up three HR's. Just never know.

Basketball used to be very predictable. Pre 3 point & shot clock changed that. In 1970s pre shot clock & 3 if we were down 17 everyone on this board would have either turned TV off or exited the Tommy. In fact Dean Smith used to ride 2 &3 point leads a whole half with 4 corners making you foul to get ball back. Free throw contest. Now Bball can change so fast go on a 2 minute dry spell and a team can erase a double digit lead in no time. It has added excitement but has sped the game up so much. Some not all of the refs are just to out of shape or too old to keep up & I feel the bad calls are a product. The good with the bad.

It’s the nature of todays game. You gotta have good consistent 3 point shooters. Hopefully we can recruit more in the coming years. Hopefully there are some good ones in this class we have coming in. I love the potential lineup next year. Zeigler-Dillione-J.Phillips-Estrella-Aidoo/Awaka that is assuming all our seniors move on next year. Then you got the wildcards; Mashack, Jefferson, Edwards, Carr, Cade Phillips. That’s 11 and I assume we will have 1-2 guys use a Covid year after up and down years this year, or we add a transfer or 2.

Yes, you've got to get great 3-point shooters but there are very few JJ Redick's, Steph Currys, Chris Lofton's. So, you end up with guys that shoot it great but will have some anomaly games and if your team doesn't or can't go to plan 2, they will get upset. Just the way it is, most are like Vescovi they need to get their feet set and then their lights out. Not many Chris Lofton's that could hit them when they knew coming up the court, he was going to shoot it and not much you can do, ask Kevin Durant.
