Not sure why everyone is arguing about the KC market. The SEC already has the KC market. KC already has the SEC Network (started this year).
 Mizzou does not have the smallest Fanbase in K.C. I realize your a Jayhawk fan but lets be serious. Unless you are counting half of the state of kansas along as the K.C. Metropolitan then that is nowhere near accurate.
The largest part of the Mizzou fanbase, in the greater KC Metro area consists of the suburbs on the Missouri side. Most of the residents within KC who possess loyalties to one of the schools mentioned, possess loyalties to KU. The suburbs on the Kansas side (which are larger than those on the Missouri side) are mostly KU and then the rest is split between K-State and Nebraska (Missouri has a very small chunk of this).
This is my experience as someone who grew up in Kansas City and still returns frequently.
The state of Missouri, is very loyal to Mizzou (not split as Eastern Kansas v. Western Kansas to KU and KSU respectively); however, the major population center that is KC is not a large Missouri fanbase.
What happened to the big announcement? Missouri basically said the same thing today that it said in the big announcement a couple weeks ago.
Not true. I know its wikipedia, but just scroll down and look at the population of the KC area counties.Kansas City metropolitan area - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Missouri and Kansas are about equally split when it comes to the KC metro area. You probably lived on the kansas side so most of your interactions would obviously be with ku and kstate fans. But to suggest that nebraska has a larger share of the whole KC market than mizzou is preposterous.
Jackson County is Kansas City, MO. I have already touched on the loyalties of Kansas City proper. Remove Jackson County and you are looking at at least a 150,000+ more individuals that live on the Kansas side of the Greater KC Metro Area.
Did you mean to say jackson county is kc, kansas? Because if so then I think you're getting your jackson counties mixed up. There is a jackson county missouri and a jackson county kansas. There are two different counties with jackson county missouri being the much larger one. You would think a 30 year resident of the kc area would know that. The missouri side of kc is just as large, if not larger than the kansas side.
Mizzou sources are saying a withdrawal is tomorrow. Our Chancellor wanted to be able to address the withdrawal to the other schools in person. Not through email or a phone call.
Why do you think those three schools are better options than Mizzou? From the SEC's POV, BYU is too far away to be looked at, but you're basically saying the SEC should add WVU or UofL instead of Mizzou.
Your argument for them couldn't be about TV markets added, recruiting areas added, stadium size, or academics, so what is it?

if i had to guess: the Kansas Jayhawks logo among his favorite teams?
I'm convinced that you are just a mizzou hater. Louisville better program? Nah....
He is a kansas Fan. Nobody has ever accused them of being Intelligent.
BYU - No.
Lousiville - No.
WVU - On field product...maybe...overall. Eww.
I am definitely a Mizzou hater; I'd rather go to hell than Mizzou. That said, historically, UofL has both a better basketball and better football program than Mizzou.
