Missouri's tribute to the SEC

Is the goal to get back to the entrance?

Looks like there's two openings: one at the bottom and one on the side.

So I presume the goal's to get from one to another.

(though some corn mazes might work in a "find your way back to the entrance" sort of way)

Edit: looks like there's also two on the right side...though they might also be lesser entrances/for maintenance or emergency since they don't meet the main road

Why did they include cuba as part of the SEC?

Perhaps they think of the University of Havana as a SEC expansion candidate. 60,000 students, the Estadio Latinamericano has about the same seating capacity as Mississippi State (bigger than Vandy), and they have a respectable baseball team that can soon compete for a title. Since Cubans know little about American football, they'll make the perfect 9th game opponent that even Kentucky can beat. Havana also has bowl site potential once Fidel and Raul are gone. It was a hell of a party town before 1959 and could be restored in about 5 to 8 years. Vegas would love to go back!

So where's Castro and Co. fit into all this?

We only got Mizzou for Basketball.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Not saying Mizzou will compete for SEC Championships right away, but they will be competitive. It would be a mistake to sleep on them or to overlook them.

after a few SEC beatdowns, missouri will wish they stayed in the weak big 12.

After looking at that thing, I dunno...seems like maybe their fans can be kinda fanatics/passionate just like with some (most) of the other teams in this conference

I wonder how long something like that takes to make

I think this is freaking awesome...I am a map nerd though.

Looks obvious that NC and VA are our next two target states.

If you mean tame by team ability standards, sure.

It's however based in all the fighting and killing the two states did to each other over a hundred years ago (in the Civil war...guerrilla warfare - or terrorism depending on your source - versus burning down cities)

It's very hate-filled; can't fault the two for their passion

I know the history but that really has very little relevance now. It is a good, very clean rivalry. There is some fan antagonism but nothing on the level you see in the SEC or even in the ACC with NCSU/UNC/Duke/Wake. I have lived in all three areas for extended periods of time and the west coast as well. "Sportsmanship" is MUCH more common in MO.

The Apple Cup in Wa is more heated than KU-Mizzou.

FWIW, I think depth of SEC caliber players will be Mizzou's problem this year. Like most other conferences, their first line players will be pretty competitive. Those are guys who have often been developed for 3 years prior to playing. The guys behind them aren't ready to step in.

I thought I saw some where the SEC and Mizz. were suing over this? Could be wrong.

It was a rumor that came from twitter, however it was false.

The university came out and said that neither it nor the SEC was suing Callaway Farms, and that the design was approved by MU Licensing & Trademarks as well as the SEC.

If it was true I was going to say that it was pretty petty of them to sue over something like that.
