If the Vols get left out, then this looks bad for Martin, even if he was just doing it for the pub.

You win you take care of any issues with other bubble teams, but if you lose suddenly you are sweating and hoping other teams lose. As we saw last night with Maryland and Ole Miss, now you losing is even bigger.

If we do make it in then obviously it turns out to be moot, but I think this may come back to haunt him.

Look, he's not the first coach ever to use a widely televised interview to make a tournament pitch for his team, nor will he be the last.

I just think stuff like that should be saved for AFTER you've already been eliminated. Once everything is out of your hands, then you start making your argument and lobbying for your team.

But until that point, it's got to be all business. "Just keep winning."
