Are they ranked now? The consideration of the timing of whether a team is ranked (and where they're ranked) is entirely dependent on the timing that most effectively bolsters the particular argument being advanced by
Southern cal was still in the playoff picture last year even though the only team they beat was Notre Dame. I agree the bulldogs have not beat anyone this year, but they are like 45-1?

My question is if and I mean if we win out why wouldn't we pass a team like the hornfrogs were last year.

Florida was ranked when they beat us, but now they are not. I believe that's what's holding our rank back now. Only other loss was bama.

Fact is I believe he was wrong about ga not beating a ranked team, how long before he uses the same logic to exclude us

Our path is easier if Mizzou loses, and Ole Miss beats them. We beat Mizzou then UGA comes to town with the east on the line in Neyland. You guys thought 2015 Oklahoma was loud. sheesh i couldnt imagine the type of atmosphere that would be.
Couldn’t agree more. Plus, I see Ole Miss beating them way more than I do Mizzou. Has anyone actually stopped and looked at Mizzou’s schedule? Their one decent win is against Kansas State, otherwise UGA is their first true test outside of LSU. I hope I don’t eat crow, but I’m smelling a way overhyped team.

We’re a 2-loss team in a year when the SEC is down. Plus, a 1-loss Oregon that went down to the wire against Washington, isn’t going to be leapfrogged by 2-loss TN, even with the SEC title on its belt. Nor would a 1-loss OSU, Michigan maybe due to their SOS.

One loss in the west/ one in the east. When ga loses to mizzo and we beat ga after ole miss beats them at home. Lsu could beat Bama, we almost did. I am not talking about probably I am saying possibly. Why not hope?

what ranked team has Michigan beat ?
Great point. If I am not wrong aren’t they still under investigation. Could they still get a post season ban?
Gary Danielson mentioned it last week, but have not seen it anywhere else. I know Harbaugh was out the first few games. That could effect the playoffs

Great point. My concern is texas a/m was ranked and wasn't kentucky. Should those wins not count? If not why are #17 with no ranked wins?

LSU's defense is doo doo to. Mizzouri is a bit overrated. They are having a great season for their standards tho.

It would be like Florida in 2001.

I would think the night slot would be pretty much guaranteed-for multiple factors.

Can the same team appear on the 3:30 CBS game 3 or 4 times? I know there is a limit but I can't remember the number. We have already been there twice. Georgia game will certainly be a 3:30 CBS game
I think it's 2 home games and we have 1 vs A&M 1 at bama then at Mizzou and then home vs GA . If it works out we would be on CBS 4 times 2 away and 2 home.

To win the Sec east we have to beat fla, Bama, mizzo, wildcats, gamecocks, and the Dawgs. Yes I know Bama is in the west, but who believes the Big 10 or the pac 12 has a tougher road to the playoffs than us
And a Bama rematch for the SEC . If we win out and Georgia loses one.

SEC champion is in the playoffs.

If there's still a rule about teams only being on CBS 5 times then you are probably looking at UT being on CBS both weeks (Missouri and Georgia).

Georgia already had 4 spots on CBS and if you look at the week 12 schedule most of the SEC teams play OOC games with the only SEC vs SEC games being UT/UGA UF/MIZ and UK/USC and so I don't know how our game would not be the one chosen as we are the only real option IMO

So UGA would hit 5 on CBS against us which would mean in week 11 CBS would be choosing from UT/MIZ or UF/LSU

Our game is more attractive based on rankings today but the LSU game is in death valley 🤷 they may be waiting to see if LSU beats Bama or loses. If they lose and Mizz loses to UGA then UT will most likely be the highest ranked team among those three and the most attractive option.

Anyway for now I believe (and hope) that UT will be on CBS both weeks. I really don't want UT to have to play a night game on the road again.
