I dunno...he's been with Dallas for 4/5 years...Pro football and college football are very different. At the pro level, all you do as a coach is football, all day, everyday, all year.

I bet his X's and O's have improved ten fold since he left Tennessee. Can he translate that on down to the rest of his offensive staff, we'll have to see.

Things that were a weakness for him here won't be at Missouri.

I'm not saying it will work out and if I'm Missouri I think I try to hire someone who has done it, but I don't know the situation there, who were other candidates that interviewed, etc...

Anyway, good luck to your nephew on his journey!

Like what? Better facilities? Larger recruiting budget? What does this mean?

He won't be the face of the program, he won't be doing post game interviews. He won't have the pressure of being the head coach. He won't be in a position where he feels he can belittle folks and he probably won't be the last word on how or whom needs to be disciplined.

These are all areas that were extreme weaknesses for him here. He wasn't ready to lead a program of this magnitude, not that he managed one of lesser magnitude any better.

He's ****. He was just FIRED. Did this somehow get missed. FIRED.
The guy has never coordinated an offense. He's been fired from his last two jobs. He's a ****ing idiot tool.

Mizzou's o-line coach also left to be the line coach at UCF I think, which is pretty odd.

We might think of UCF as a small school, but it is actually one of the largest universities in the country, top ten. They built their own stadium only a few years ago, but good coaches can do things there.

Obviously Barry Odom ain’t too smart

I imagine this a crucial hire for Odom if Dooley flat out sucks this year Mizzou could be looking for a new HC next year

I have taken a couple of classes there, and I think the statewide enrollment is something like 75,000. And that was a few years ago. It's a big school and it has only been around since 1963.

I hope they do well going forward and draw down some of that talent pool from FU.

I have a feeling he won’t be a horrible hire. I don’t think he will be amazing either, but probably will turn out halfway decent.
