Mauk was extremely well recruited by many teams... most notably Butch. He's far from garbage as much as you guys like to talk smack. He could have easily been UT's QB right now.

Butch was hitting him hard at cinci. When Butch dropped cinci and came to UT he wanted Mauk to come but Mauk wound up at Mizz is my understanding of the situation.

Isn't UCONN on Tennessee's upcoming schedule in a year or so?

Mauk was already playing with Mizzou. He was redshirted in 2012. Butch was not recruiting him when he took over as coach in 2013 because his recruitment took place a year prior. Butch did try to get him to go to cinci.

4th and goal from the 2. Mizzou goes for it.

And they score. Oh the irony.

Was just fixing to comment. We don't go for it from the one foot line. I like butch but if you judge his courage...he's more like "catilyn" than "Bruce" if you catch my drift

Yep. That is one of those calls that will be discussed until seasons end. Especially if Tennessee has a successful season.

A whole lot easier to have courage when you are playing UCON then OK. Evenore so when you are behind. Be honest about it. You can debate the call all you want but it's not a relevant comparison. For the record I thought we should go for it.

I Just know Butch was recruiting him hard at cinci. he has said so publicly many times. I was under the impression he wanted him to come to UT, but could be wrong about that.

Why in the world did Mizzou try to run up the middle? They haven't been able to all day, and their "strength" is spreading out.

Hey UConn, I know basketball is your thing, but you have to let the punt returner catch the ball. That's twice you've done that now.

We say this every year, but this Mizzou team is beatable as long as the defense doesn't give up inexplicable long plays again.
