Mizzou

They had revenge on their mind, and they extracted it on us. We weren't up for that type of game.

They are good. This was not a guaranteed win. They had a great game plan and executed while we did not.

I’m mad. But the hot takes tonight are worse than the usual post FL hot takes.

The Mizzou boys were on a mission and they played inspired football. Respect to them. Vols aren't good enough (yet) to overcome a good motivated team on the road.

I just honestly don’t understand it. I mean seriously. There was a lot to play for. How is it we looked much better against Bama than Missouri? And I don’t care what anyone says, Bama would blow the doors off of Missouri. Coming off a win against UCONN one would think they would have been very confident and ready to play. I don’t get it.

I go back to the first quarter. I don’t understand the defensive philosophy. Sure, we only gave up 3 points but the whol bend but don’t break defense doesn’t work with our style of play. We can survive a big play. 10 minute drives completely takes us out of our game plan.

Good teams come ready to play when everything is on the line or at least wake up at halftime. A team that is seeking to get to the mountaintop should never feel overconfident and you have to play like you have an ax to grind. We looked outclassed which is troubling that in a years time there could be that much movement between the teams.

You are not going to convince enough difference makers to join this program with performances like that. As someone pointed out earlier we are outside the 10 top again in recruiting.

We are talking about Mizzou here....not Bama...UGA....OSU...Michigan...Texas....Oklahoma....Oregon. etc. We just got taken to the beat down woodshed by a DrinkaWink led Missouri team loaded with 2 and 3 star players and very mediocre recruiting classes.

They had one player and all they did was hand it to him or throw short underneath routes…. And the Vols never adjusted
This defintely was BAD.
Reminded me of Dexter McCluster when he ran all over us in Oxford when Kiffin wore the Power T Cap.
No one on our team could stop him and we had better talent on that team back then.

I will say this and is fair to keep in mind.. Attrition has killed us and we just dont have the depth of our 1's/2'stalent combo to match the likes of Bama/UGA

Some of our best have been sidelined-
-Pili (sp?)
-McCoy
-Hadden etc....

We have a good group of kids, but it seems a combination of leadership and talent in many positions are the edges we are missing this year.

This hurt exactly like last year's loss to South Carolina - and neither loss should have happened...

We lost by 4 TDs as a road favorite.

That’s hot take cocaine.
1.5 favorite is essentially a pick’em. They were ranked one spot below us and only because they lost last week to UGA. A lot of media picked them to win. They are a good team that came out and executed to perfection. This is not the debacle that SCAR was last year.

The hot takes are, fahr so-n-so, Heup will never get it done, sit Joe for Nico, etc etc.

What did you miss about losing by 4 TDs, while looking totally inept in every facet of the game, against an equally matched opponent?

We didn’t play the 95 Nebraska team.
