What did you miss about losing by 4 TDs, while looking totally inept in every facet of the game, against an equally matched opponent?

We didn’t play the 95 Nebraska team.

And we aren’t the 98 Vols… or even the 2022 Vols.

I’m not justifying the loss. I’m mad as h3ll.

But I stop short of stupid hot takes predicting the future because we played poorly on the road to a ranked team.

I still don’t think they’re a good team. Maybe for their standards yes. They didn’t do anything special but run five plays and scramble. Just bad defense. Offense killed itself more than anything. We just loss to a team we should never lose to. Period. They’re in the same category as UK and Vandy to me.

We are talking about Mizzou here....not Bama...UGA....OSU...Michigan...Texas....Oklahoma....Oregon. etc. We just got taken to the beat down woodshed by a DrinkaWink led Missouri team loaded with 2 and 3 star players and very mediocre recruiting classeTake a look at our schedule. The Vols haven’t beaten a good team (road or away) all year.

They also watched the Florida game film and literally did the exact same thing.

Say what you will. Missouri is a good team and wanted it more.

They whipped us in the trenches and we are fully healthy there. That is concerning.

This defintely was BAD.
Reminded me of Dexter McCluster when he ran all over us in Oxford when Kiffin wore the Power T Cap.
No one on our team could stop him and we had better talent on that team back then.

I will say this and is fair to keep in mind.. Attrition has killed us and we just dont have the depth of our 1's/2'stalent combo to match the likes of Bama/UGA

Some of our best have been sidelined-
-Pili (sp?)
-McCoy
-Hadden etc....

We have a good group of kids, but it seems a combination of leadership and talent in many positions are the edges we are missing this year.

Damn right and they whipped our arses from the start to finish!!!! Heu and banks had no clue how to stop them and we looked like swiss cheese from the git go. I still dont think Joe could hit a ship in the water if it is moving.
