I was wrong about the impact of the provision limiting the extension of poll hours. (hopefully)the laws are the laws.
they almost uniformly expand voter access and ease compared to what the laws were before.
It was spun by people as being the opposite but the facts show they were wrong.
Why not admit you were wrong about some of the provisions you found most troubling?
I have to show ID for my covid vaccine tomorrow. Big Pharma is killing those poor minorities with their ID requirements!!!!!!Can anyone show the rampant fraud at will call? If not, how is this not fan suppression?
MLB requires photo ID to pick up tickets from Will Call, but boycotts Georgia for voter ID law

I think it is bad no matter which side is in control. If anything calls for a bipartisan approach, it's a contested election.do you know if GA legislature has more or less control over election rules than other states? this is typically left to state legislatures.
seems the concern is that it's bad because of the party currently in charge - would it be bad if the other (or another) party was in charge?

Then the bill should have made provisions for setting up a bipartisan committee made up of an equal number from each party to be chosen from the opposing party.who says it can't be bipartisan? If you want bipartisan potential then you want it in the hands of the legislature rather than the executive branch (Gov or SOS or some other individual) which is guaranteed to be one single party.
I think you have used up your arguments as to why this voting bill is racist and unfair to minorities Luther. I'm sorry all of Georgia's low income blacks and hispanics can't vote while the low income white's in rural Georgia get double votes, free water and ice cream in the polling lines and many other favors. Maybe since I'm in nearby TN I can just mail in a GA ballot for one of the poor and downtrodden, just tell me who to vote for. Then the bill should have set up a bipartisan committee made up of an equal number from each party to be chosen from the opposing party.

Surely you've seen reports about closing of DMVs in minority majority counties, requiring travel of around fifty miles to get an I.D. for voting.
What IDs Are Acceptable?
What if I don't have one of the six acceptable forms of Photo ID?

- Valid U.S. passport ID
- Valid U.S. military photo ID
- Valid tribal photo ID
- The State of Georgia offers a free ID Card. An ID Card can be issued at any county registrar's office free of charge.

- A photo identity document or approved non-photo identity document that includes full legal name and date of birth.
