Wow if we can keep Maggio we would have our full class coming in. That would be huge.
I am going to be a glass half empty guy here. Besides KS it appears to me that none of the other signees were much of a threat to get big money in the draft. That isn't the recipe for success in the SEC. Winning SEC rosters are full of talent that turns down 2nd-5th round money and this class doesn't appear to be that with the exception of KS.

Hey wait a minute! I'm supposed to be the empty glass guy around here!
Unfortunately, I think you're right.
Perfect Game has our recruiting class ranked 13th in the conference, slightly ahead of Alabama.
They don't include JUCO guys in their rankings, but it looks like UT chose to minimize their JUCO draft exposure this year after last year's results. Instead of current pro prospects, they went with consistently competent JUCO players. For example: Youngblood, the OF drafted twice before, batted .297 in JUCO this year with a good OBP but no power numbers. Ramirez was honorable mention all conference out in California.
It's gotta be next to impossible for a coach in need of JUCO help to get the best possible guys who won't go pro. But it's clear they played it safer this year than last.

*This is all the prospects drafted from what I could gather on PerfectGame.
UK signee, Trevor Clifton (Heritage HS, Maryville, TN) said he got 3rd round money and has already signed. Reports later this week.
I know that was said in the paper but I am saying that is bs. Can anyone confirm this??
If true the Dbacks took a huge penalty to sign him. Anybody after the 10th can only get 100k without a huge penalty.

*Unless a bonus exceeds $100,000 from round 11 onward, it does not count against the imposed budget.
