Mo Couch and Mark Emmert (long)

My understanding...

Clinton-Dix (Monica Lewinsky chuckles) had already made restitution before news came out. (Saban handled it, made a call to Emmert) Couch has not, doesn't have the money, and 'AA has denied him the right to make payments.

Anybody know where these athletes get the money from to 'pay back' anyways. I mean, they can't have jobs....

Mo is done as a vol

Link or STFU, because that isn't true and you have no clue what you're talking about. I'm extremely close to the situation and we're just waiting to hear back. Mo has met with the NCAA quite frequently as of late, and it has been suggested he may make it back for the Bama game. It's not a very GOOD possibility, but a possibility none-the-less. So please refrain from making comments like this trying to troll everyone when you don't have a darn clue. Cheers :hi:.

I agree with the OP 100%. Not only Clinton-Nix, but the text book scandal, the new suit scandal and now we learn that Saban got recruit prospect Landon Collin's girl friend a job in the AD over protest from the kid's mother. No penalties. Nada. Bruce Pearl let a kid who showed up at his door have a plate of BBQ and he gets the death sentence and our BB program is set back for several years. We can quibble about who lied, who covers up, who self reports, who shot Cock Robin, but it is obvious that the NCAA has its favorites. Now we learn that Miami's bowl ban was lifted when they committed much more serious offenses.

Everyone in alabummer knows that Trent Richardson's momma, baby momma, and their two babies lived in a series of houses near Birmingham "house keeping" .... for bammer alumni.

Not to mention the 24K SUV he drove his junior year.

That's only one of about 20-30 things that could be mentioned.

Seeing as how Ha'sean was reinstated after a quick resolution in his "short term loan" BS (which made him ineligable.. Did bammer vacate wins? No..) I would like to point out an interesting network of individuals and connect a few dots. This may have already been done, but I think it warrants another mention given the current circumstances.

Mark Emmert, president of the NCAA, has left a pile of ruins and demonstrated poor oversight at every job he has had. He has always shown poor ethical and inequitable decision making. He is also close with Saban because of their time at LSU together. Both Saban and Emmert greatly benefited from their wins at LSU during that time.

Fast forward to now: With Bama week coming up, Couch is still left in suspense about his playing chances, while Clinton-Dix has been cleared. Couch would provide play making ability and increased depth to the UT defense, something they will greatly need to be competitive.

Emmert has shown he is as crooked as a dogs hind leg after a motorcycle accident. I'm going to predict that Mo Couch gets cleared to play this year, but only after the bama game. Saban has help from above. Ever wonder why things are always quiet in bama? Emmert's your answer.

I do not claim to be a compliance rules official, and I know the amounts they took were different and there were different circumstances in each case. However, there are clearly two different sets of rules being used to govern these issues.

Watch Mo get cleared middle of next week. I realize I could be wrong and end up looking stupid, but I think it's all worth a mention.

I stopped reading your thread after this. You've got no idea what you're talking about. As president of the University of Washington, he raised $2 billion in endowment money. He was one of the best presidents in that school's history.

NCAA is on notice across the country. The Schools are passing laws and electing officials that will vote to disband from their government type control. Want some real talk ? The only thing stopping the outright revolt is Title 9.

Yup a Federal Gov. program meant to do well, once again fails.

Soon as an AD at any major school finds a way around that "Law" then college football will move on .....
My bet is on TX ! That State is LEADING !

Interesting no doubt.

But, I was wondering if you have any sort of hard evidence concerning ...

1. Any verifiable Emmert/Saban injustices in this or any other case? Not assumptions based on a past working relationship.

2. What exactly is this "pile of ruins" that Emmert has left based on his past "poor oversight". LSU athletics is certainly not in that group.

3. What are the specifics in each players case? On one hand you say they are different, then state that they "clearly" are using "two" sets of rules. I can't understand that. Each player was named, but what are the specific offenses for each? If you're not sure, then how can you be sure "two" sets of rules are being used?

4. Do you know with evidence that Couch is being pushed by the NCAA past Bama for the sake of Nick and Bama, or is this just conjecture?

This connection is CERTAINLY worth a "mention" as you say. But, what concerns me is UT fans beginning to act like the Bammers did last decade in the
... "Doug Dickey has Fulmer and the Vols protected from any SEC/NCAA, so they are free to break all rules necessary to win". And of course the
... "Fulmer snitched to the NCAA about Albert Means and was instrumental in bringing down Alabama's football program".

The first one above never got any traction with any real evidence whatsoever. The second has recently been proven as a 100% fabrication by Bama fans, boosters, and their lawyers.

You have 20 "likes" already, but I aint seeing ANY hard evidence. Before jumping on board, I would like to see more than conjecture and assumption.

In short, lets make sure and not act like the mouth breathers south of our border.

No hard evidence on any account. Probably could find some if I cared enough to build a case. But I'm a fan, not an investigator. Just thought I would start a thought provoking discussion. As is what this site is for. If you want to read the article I posted a few posts earlier, it outlines his shady past.

If you want to lay out a 4 step analysis of this post as well, you need more to do.
