'24 MO DL Williams Nwaneri (Mizzou commit)

I don’t see Bradley ever passing Caleb Herring. Bradley has 20lbs to add before he hits the field considering the depth there.

Projecting out to ‘25…
Josephs/Pearce/Herring/Bradley
Robinson/Duncan/Franklin
Hobbs/Jenkins
West/Nwaneri/Weathersby/Lindstrom/Gentle

Could see West move to DT, Duncan move to OT, and Pearce transfer
If Pearce has added more good weight this off season then I could see him jump to the top of our edge depth chart. Guy has some crazy good speed for his size

From what i know from a coach at Blackman, he said out of the two Herring brothers Elijah was much better, in HS. Pearce Herring and Bradley all have/had the same problem in that they’re 6’5 210-215. Pearce is already in the 245 range and wouldn’t shock me to see him 250+ by the start of the season. Personally I think Josephs/Pearce/Herring/Bradley in terms of who we’ll see the most over the next 2 years
That’s probably because they played him as an off-ball LB despite being 6’5. C Herring will be 245+ by September.

The word on Pearce is that he still has to learn how to strain. He's still learning what it takes to be successful play after play at the college level. That's what is holding him back at the current moment. Until he figures that out, he'll be relegated to being a situational pass rusher. Josephs will be rotating with Roman Harrison starting out this season as a 1a, 1b situation.

Loving to watch Ohio State and Bama play football is your prerogative my man.

Thanks but I never said I liked to watch Ala. If they are playing a good team then damn right I do. I pull like hell for whomever they are playing. Ohio St was a fun team to watch last year but never did I say I pulled for them. Any REAL football fan loves good football games. USC was a fun team to watch last year with Caleb Willians, but doesn't mean I pull for them. Hell, 3 years ago under Pruitt I watched every minute of every game and that was some horrible football. Real football fans pull hard for their teams and still enjoy watching other good football games. There's been games I bet a stack on teams I hate and still couldn't pull for those teams. The way I see it I benefit either way. That team either wins me money or loses the game.I didn't realize that bothered some so much. In this day and time too many people are sensitive and have issues with everything so it's all good!

Exactly. Tennessee has to commit more in terms of incentive (financial incentive) because they can't point to the kind of recent on-field and NFL Draft success as Clemson, UGA, Alabama, and Ohio St. Different tactics for different situations. That shouldn't be alarming, nor surprising.
Not saying you're totally wrong, but Florida and S. Carolina have a higher player average than the Vols. USC Jr hasn't been a barn burner the past few years.

It’s still early in the cycle. They’ve likely already landed their top targets for this class. If we land Nwaneri, Franklin, Matthews, and Wingo along with everyone else we’re currently in the lead for we’ll end up signing much better classes. I also think Farooq and Ginther are better prospects than their rating indicates. Same goes for Peyton Lewis and I think Boo has borderline 5 star potential. Especially since he’s killing it in camps and will be playing for a much better team this season that can showcase his talents

Florida has so much instate talent that they won't ever have to work overtime to field even average teams, and South Carolina is currently benefitting from two top-60ish instate OL commits. I'll bet we sit above USCe when all is said and done, and possibly UF, as well. Hard to judge much from each of the three schools only having less than half of the commits they'll finish with.

We have the better coach so who cares what Florida is doing

Go checkout their 24 schedule too. Who knows how long Sun Belt Bill will even last

“It was a pretty smooth weekend,” Nwaneri told Volquest of his time at Tennessee. “I felt like it was beneficial. I got to spend some time with the players and all of that. It was a fun weekend.” “Coach Ek, he always has good energy,” Nwaneri said of this. “I met with him and we talked about how they would fit into their defense and all of that which was good. We had a meeting and it was basically going over their defense.”
“Really what stood out to me is that it is something I could see myself doing.Just coming in and being an impact to the team. They see me playing the whole d-line, moving around and all of that. I can put everything on tape that way.” While Nwaneri can wreak havoc in multiple techniques on the inside, his athleticism and physicality also allow him the chance to play the Leo position. This is something he likes. “Most definitely,” Nwaneri said of if there was appeal with this. “Moving around and all of that, flying around and making plays and putting that on tape is good.”
“I got to pick their brains, and they keep it real with me,” Nwaneri said of time spent with the players on Tennessee’s roster. “I talked with Chandavian and some other guys, but mostly Chandavian. He had just went through the process, so he was able to talk to me about how he had adjusted to it and why he had chose Tennessee.” “Mostly, he was just really telling me to stay level headed through the process and to not feel rushed to do anything and to take your time and everything will fall into place.” “The conversation was pretty general,” he said of this. “It was just catching up and trying to talk to me like he was talking to a friend or something. It wasn’t just straight football. It was cool, calm conversations.”
He also spent time around fellow highly rated defensive line Kamarion Franklin, who was on his official visit to Tennessee this weekend as well. Nwaneri understands that Tennessee views the duo as guys that can shape the defensive trenches for years to comes, and he enjoyed being around Franklin during the visit. “It was pretty cool,” he said of the time spent with him. “He is kind of like me. He is a quiet guy that doesn’t say too much. Yesterday, we were talking and seeing where each others head is out. It was pretty cool.” Nwaneri says he plans to make a decision in September after an official visit to Oregon. As far as what this weekend did for Tennessee, the five-star already felt strongly about the Vols and still does. “Coming into it, I felt they stood pretty well. They are still up there for sure.”
