Agreed. It’s the most important position aside from QB and probably the one we’ve recruited the most poorly over the past 15 years

Currently in my 5th year in Charleston but about to move back to Knoxville.

For great fried seafood and raw oysters with a view, bowens island. We also recently went kayaking in the estuary there after dinner with Charleston Outdoor Adventures and had a great time. Also a fan of Acme in Isle Of Palms if you're staying out there and like shrimp and grits, they have like 5 different options. I also have about a million more suggestions if you're interested

For high end seafood/Italian combo ocean front grab a reservation at Coda Del Pesce on IOP.

Love the Bowen’s suggestion for that vibe.
Downtown my all around favorite has always been Coast.

ACME and Long Island Cafe on the IOP- agree with you. What’s funny is that my wife’s family has had a place on the IOP since the early 90’s. They say ACME used to be a late night hangout to have some drinks and not known for its food. It has changed its brand and now very busy for its food options.
