Yeah I just know we have Joseph and Pearce already lined up for 2023 and a lot of people think Herring will be better than Bradley and M’Pemba is far more ready from a physical standpoint to play next year than Bradley

I understand that, but we will have 5 guys that all play the same position. Unless we’re planning on going to a 3-4/2-4-5 defense there simply isn’t enough reps for all 5 guys to play

Bradley I believe will play as many snaps as each of them. He has special written all over him. In CHRIST Alone

Bradley moving to TE would give us 4 and in a 4-2-5 defense only 1 edge rusher is on the field outside of certain packages. None of those guys have the size or the fame to play on the opposite end. That will be Duncan, Robinson, and Weathersby

The point isn’t to play them all at the same time, the point is rotate fresh bodies as much as possible. They’ll have plenty of plays to do so.

Things change boss…we scouted him as a DE but guess what he’s just as intriguing a prospect at TE and there’s a way bigger need there…and I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but Heup and Golesh are pretty dang good at what they do AND having two TE’s is a huge part of what they do AND if Warren decides not to come back then we have 0…repeat 0…scholarship TE’s on the roster going in to next year…

AND…for the record…Mike Ekeler coaches the edge guys…not Garner

In obvious passing downs, you could see as many as 3 of them on the field at once. You could have 2 playing at the end positions, and 1 in a blitzing OLB role.

We rotate edge guys all the time.
Our defense doesn't operate like our offense.

On offense we need seasoned TEs now.
On defense we just need to continue to get elite young talent and let it develop.

Bailey looks like an elite prospect at TE or Edge. Like Echols in 2024. But Bailey wouldn't be ready or dependable for TE by next fall imo....

Getting to the passer is second only to the passer, on the list of what's important in the game of football.

He's playing WR/TE also in high school.
