So was John Madden. He rode on a bus everywhere he went. I like Kornheiser on p.t.i. But not mnf. And how can Gruden coach the bucs and do this?? Cause the bucs will not fire him. :)

I liked Tony and I don't think that Gruden will get it done. Jaws should be the one who leaves. He is terrible.

please explain to me how in the hell you liked Tony and his huge bag of nothing he brought to the game. The dude would go off pti style in the booth about every beaten into the ground story out there DURING a $&^% play!

Yes, he knew nothing about football, but I personally liked to hear him clamor on about random things. Made me laugh. I like to laugh.

i too like to laugh, but alien head Tony made me cringe, not laugh. Im guessing you also enjoy watching Hitler speeches to get a chuckle? Maybe some Jerry Lews or Tom Greene too?

Kornheiser was a bag of hot air and it seemed like he whined a lot, but he will be 1000 more entertaining than gruden. I hope gruden realizes he has to speak, not yell and stare.

The thread title is misleading. It should have "RUMOR" after it because Jon is still the head coach of the Bucs although it is also "RUMORED" that he has been fired. Waiting for Jon to confirm, stand by...

I like this. I've been ok w/ tony on debate shows like pti - he's pretty good on those - but he's really not a good game broadcaster and i'm glad they saw that and changed things up. I have no idea how gruden will work out as an announcer so we'll just see.


honestly, my favorite announcer change they ever did on MNF though was...Dennis Miller. The guy came in and did his hw and had looked into the sport and honestly knew alot about football and the NFL. Seriously knew what he was talking about and kept to the game like a good announcer should. Problem seemed to be though that ABC and everyone wanted him on there to be funny, not another announcer, and all got upset when it went the other way around.....oh well

Yea he knows nothing about football... Only been writing about the Redskins for the Washington Post since the 70's, has written 4 sports books, and has had his own radio show since the early 90's. Complete Failure
