Still think Gruden is coming to Tenn? Monte Kiffin just resigned from USC to pursue NFL opportunities, if you think he didn't get a call from Gruden well then stop reading now.

Gruden will be back in the NFL next season and his first call was to his old buddy.

Kiffin's love breaking Vols hearts, but take it to the bank.

Gruden to the NFL

No, Monte resigned so that his son wouldn't have to fire him, and so he could save his son's butt for another year.

Old buddy who by chance missed half of the coaches meetings in his last year in Tampa because he wanted to go to Tennessee mid-season.

Right.

Gruden not taking the UT job has nothing to do with Monte. Do you think Gruden is saying "well if Monte isn't my DC in NFL then I will coach the Vols." If you do then stop reading now. USC def sucked anyway.

gonna be an awkward Christmas at the Kiffin house

Lane tries six times to score some turkey, but can't get past the line of platter.

Monte takes notes on how to implement the strategy into his defense.

Just goes to show ya-- there's absolutely nobody Little Lane won't throw under the bus. Monte should have made Lane fire him to get his buyout... but he's probably getting something under the table.

I'm going with "no effect".

Just people stretching to find something of meaning out of nothing due to the lack of anything official from either camp through all this.
