I'd like to get this guys commitment early. Getting the top player in the state early will get the ball rolling.

As long as our offensive line can push a defender off the ball...they can wear pink with a purple T on the helmet as far as I care...

I was hoping for more of a polarizing response to that question. Actually I feel the same way L43, it's really not even about the wins right now IMO, just show effort through 4 quarters and I'll be happy...... for the first few games anyway.:)

I watched an interview with Lane Kiffin online and he was talking about you need to have a 2 year relationship with the kids, said he was behind on that also but seems to be getting alot of good visits and feels great about next years recruits visited. Even though he is well behind on this years recruits he feels he is getting across to some of them and feels good about who he's after....

I've just never bought into the whole jersey color argument.

I think Kiffin has laid the groundwork...now I'm wanting to see how it parlays onto gamedays.

He's not - not sure where the guy got that information. I know he really liked Coach Richt though. He may have been considered a UGA "lean" if you interviewed him the day of his visit to UGA and before he got to meet the coaches.

From a coach at Ooltewah. No reason to lie to me. Said Georgia is the team to beat right now.

Inky is an unpaid volunteer student assistant coach in graduate school. He isn't a GA. I really hate to hear that about his arm. From every article I have ever read that mentions Inky, he is a natural born leader and a real stand up guy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him added as a GA this year. Here's a cool link about him being nominated for a national courage award. Tennessee's Inquoris “Inky” Johnson Nominated for the FWAA/FedEx Orange Bowl Courage Award - OrangeBowl.org—The Official Site of The FedEx Orange Bowl Championship

He also said that Inky has lost all use of his right arm.
Inky and Justin Harrell should have never been playing at that point in the game. Had Chavis been able to stop the option, we beat Air Force by 3 TD's...

Chavis (and Fulmer) owes that kid a check.

It's not fair to blame them for that. I'm sure Inky hasn't. It was just a horrible circumstance.

Isn't Smith a 2010 guy? I think he is.

If that's the case...shouldn't they be using these last few weeks to put on the full court press for any/every 2009 who might even sniff wearing orange?

Not really since its just an hour and a half down the road maybe they had 5 hours to kill and wanted to work on that fence mending Lane has been talking about.

Dude, what do you think they've been doing? Have you not seen the list of visitors coming in these last 3 weeks of Jan? Plus they are already working on top recruits for next year. I mean come on dude, what more do you expect?

So would you trust a coach or one of his good friends? Which coach? I'm an Ooltewah grad and still know several people there - ones that are pretty tight with Jacquez - and they all say it's Tennessee at this point. He wasn't happy about the firing of Fulmer but still Tennessee was tops - he had the visit with Georgia and loved Richt - he won't be going there. He hadn't even gotten a chance to meet the staff at all when he took his visit.

No seriously - which coach?

Mind you, "Ooltewah", prounounced backwards, is "Haw-et-loo". Not too far removed from "Yaw Yaw".

Send Orgeron in. He speaks the language.

Go Vols.

I'll PM you the name. I am going to stick by what he has been telling me. I hope he is wrong, but I have no reason to think he isn't in the know.

I agree that he needs to be our top target. Even more so if we don't land Brown this year. It's hard to have the state on lockdown if the number one prospect slips through your hands the first two years on the job.

Ooltewah is an Indian word that means traffic jam.

Word is that the newest translation is, "Wait...this road wasn't here last night..." If anyone sees a green sedan weaving through traffic at night, it's me trying to find where my lane is.
