:ermm:

mainstream news is spin but TDS and Colbert is straight up facts? RCP is biased because the website is red? (you know the CNN logo is red right?)

Is this Billy C?

And CNN's logo is red, but the entire website is not. RealClear is, and if you can't see that, I'm not sure what to say.

Who are you talking about that is one-sided? Just because a website uses the color red it's not necessarily one-sided.

Stewart and Colbert aren't reporters you know - they aren't providing facts and news you know. I hope you know that.

They actually do provide news and facts you know...

At least Stewart and Colbert instill some humor and take jabs at both sides, as opposed to it being strictly one-sided.

Yep, Stewart and Colbert are the gold standard of unbiased new coverage. If only everyone got their news from them, this country would be in much better shape.

my bad - it is done in red. I've been fooled all along. All those articles from Ezra Klein, Paul Krugmann, EJ Dionne, Eugene Robinson, Slate, etc. that they post are clearly right-wing spin. Sure, those are left-leaning writers but when their article headlines appear in red it sucks the left right out of them.

So you think spin doesn't exist in news?

off course it does - but if you are concerned with spin then TDS and Colbert are about the worst place to start. They chose a story for comedic value then present only the parts that fit the comedic theme with as much exaggeration as necessary along with editorial omission to seal it. It's beyond spin.

GoBig,

You may have actually come up with the dumbest argument ever presented on this forum. And by God, that's saying something.

I will agree with you.

You didn't answer my reply to your dumb argument...Ironic.

Your reply indicated that two shows produced for comedic value, and not informational purposes, are legit sources for news.

I'm not sure why I would bother responding to that. What would you want to hear? "Stop eating paint chips"?

What's funny is that my uncle used to always say that about people in Arkansas...a little off topic, but bear with me.

But seriously, it is not beyond the realm of thinking that these sites use colors to send messages. People tend to associate red with con and blue with libs...thats all I am trying to say.

Okay. I will wave the white flag and surrender. I apologize for making generalizations. I misspoke and you and several others were right.

I'm completely shocked that Moore would say this. It's true. I guess that's why I can't believe it.
