Put a republican and a democrat in a barrel, roll it down hill. No matter who lands on top we still have a sumbiatch. We need less politicians and more statesmen.

As of now, Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight.com has Obama's re-election chances at about 85%. It is very unlikely that Mitt Romney will be able to make up this deficit, although there is absolutely no doubt that he will be able to tighten up this race (in some polls, he has already), especially considering the first debate will generally favor the challenger.

How does he come up with that?? Intrade is 75%

Weighted and unweighted polling averages, measuring a state's electorate and what their values are, among other things.

Most people have it lower though, around that 65-75% mark. Romney will inevitably gain ground, but it's going to take another, "You didn't build that," gaffe from Obama for him to have a good shot at winning.

It will be unprecedented if he doesn't use the 'let me be clear' phrase.

Problem is people voting strictly party line. No way Obama should be reelected, but we are a nation of idiots so nothing surprises me.

Wes Colley, Alabama-Huntsville researcher, talks about his BCS error

But Wes Colley, a research scientist at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, failed to input the Appalachian State-Western Illinois playoff game into his set of rankings.

In the convoluted world of BCS computers, that mistake decided 10th and 11th place in the overall standings. LSU and Boise State flipped spots Monday.

The mistake was caught by CollegeBCS.com's Jerry Palm, who reviews Colley's work.

There are some smart people, but overall it's eat up with morons...

That's what's so scary. With things as bad as they are there's no way this should even be a race....problem is people are too easily fooled by what they hear and too lazy to find out what's actually true
