Disturbing that they think Hannity and Beck are news.

no they don't
Disturbing that they are significantly more inclined to use violence.

than whom? Don't kid yourself here as your silly little racism vibe won't work well here.

Disturbing that they think their views are shared by everyone.

They don't think their views are shared by everyone. Add some context and I'd guess the question was garbage as was the interview format.

Just like a lot of Libs think Stewart and Colbert are news?

I daresay that the percentage of people who think those guys are newscasters is a tiniy, tiny fraction of the number of tea party folks who think that Beck and Hannity are.

I mean, honestly, Beck? At least Hannity will provide some facts. Stileted and out of context, yes, but there's some ground there. Beck is just ridiculous.

are you really trying to argue obama doesn't favor black people over white people?

Interesting comment by you, and I think reflective of the resentment the tea partiers feel.

I think he favors the lower class. Since minorities are disproportionately represented in the lower class, it appears superficially that he favors blacks.

But only people who can get past that dichotomy would understand it and the tea partiers are incapable of that.

If you think right now that I am taking the classic liberal stance that conservatives are myopic, or at least narrow minded, and not bright enough to comprehend the difference, well, you're right. I don't think they can.

It's not about tea partiers, it's how he spent his life prior to joining the senate.

The anti-Gsvol. If they were ever to meet in person, the universe would fold in on itself.

i see so you think we should just ignore all the racists he has been good buddies with in his life (including his wife) and simply focus on what he has done in office (which actions don't exactly exclude racism by any stretch)?

Actually, the survey is probably underreporting the true harshness of their sentiments. When asked these questions, I am sure that the pollster had to say that they were from the NYT and CBS, two mortal enemies of the Tea Party. A fair number of the respondents surely dialed it back a little, knowing that they were on the spot.

The exception is probably the Fox and Beck, Hannity thing. They would answer truthfully there I think just because they know that their cultish tryst with Fox, et. al., tilts all of us normal people so much.

dude, where do you get your peyote? i mean seriously

No.

But at least now I understand where you are coming from.

Once again I open an LG thread, and once again my IQ drops after reading his drivel.

Then don't open them.

Weak answer. The guy's power base is absolutely predicated on race. His function prior to joining the US Senate was all about race. His senate record in Ill state senate is almost funny.

You imply that because the black poulation voted for him or that he has their interests in mind in many situations that he is unqualified to be POTUS, or that at a minimum his decisions are automatically suspect.

I didn't say that at all. You said you were concerned about the Tea Partiers' opinion that the man is racist. I said your concern is senseless, as the man is a racist.

he is unqualified because most of the time he was in the senate he was running for president, then before that he was a community organizer in chicago, plus throw in his goons that he associated himself with during that time, akers, wright, etc. that tends to paint a pretty good picture of our current idiot in chief

Poll: Tea Partiers Republican, White, Male – Think Obama Favors Blacks Over Whites

Last night, the New York Times and CBS News released a poll finding that the “18 percent of Americans who identify themselves as Tea Party supporters tend to be Republican, white, male, married and older than 45.” The poll, which “oversampled” Tea Party supporters “for the purpose of analysis” and “then weighted” them “to their proper proportion in the poll,” found that Tea Partiers are more likely than the general public to think President Obama “favors blacks over whites“:
The overwhelming majority of supporters say Mr. Obama does not share the values most Americans live by and that he does not understand the problems of people like themselves. More than half say the policies of the administration favor the poor, and 25 percent think that the administration favors blacks over whites — compared with 11 percent of the general public.
They are more likely than the general public, and Republicans, to say that too much has been made of the problems facing black people.

According to the poll, Tea Partiers are also more likely to believe that President Obama was born in another country, with 30 percent believing that compared to 20 percent of the general public. Supporters of the Tea Party are also more likely to believe that violence against the government is sometimes justified:

In terms of where the Tea Party turns for news, the poll found that 63 percent watch Fox News “most for information about politics and current events.” Additionally, 53 percent of Tea Partiers consider “shows hosted by people like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity” to be news rather than entertainment:

The Tea Partiers, who view Sarah Palin very favorably but aren’t sure she is ready to be president, have a distorted image of whether or not their views reflect America. According to the poll, 84 percent of Tea Partiers believe that “the views of the people involved in the Tea Party movement generally reflect the views of most Americans.” Only 25 percent of the general public, however, believe that the Tea Party reflects their views.
