More Michael Phelps drama (involving strippers, threesomes, and more pot)

You turds all deserve to have a daughter who strips one day. Strippers and hookers don't end up there just because they're natural whores, you know; the vast majority of them end up there because Daddy or Stepdaddy raped or abused them somehow. These are women who take their clothes off for your entertainment; hurling such misogyny at them is totally unbecoming of a gentleman. May you all end up outside a strip bar sometime soon with some burly bouncer pounding your faces into the pavement.

I've never been to a strip club, and don't plan on going to one. They don't take it off for my entertainment.

Furthermore, there is intense irony in saying OUR behavior is unbecoming of a gentlemen, when we are just pointing out that strippers are not "ladies."

I am sorry about your daughter being a stripper.

My daugher's six months old, so nobody yet. I just think you can tell a lot about a man's character by the way he treats waiters, bartenders, and strippers. Some of the comments in this thread -- not about this woman in particular, but about strippers in general -- are garbage.

I don't think it is becoming of a gentlemen to lump waitresses and bartenders with strippers. in fact, THAT is garbage.

They're all members of the service industry whom the limpdicked and narcissistic tend to browbeat in a vain attempt to puff themselves up.

If you go backstage at any strip bar in the country and interview the dancers, you'll find that almost every one of them came from a broken home, has an abusive father or stepfather, etc. etc. What they become almost always starts with something that somebody else does to them. To ignore that reality and just throw out some blanket comment like

Strippers are so messed up on so many levels. They are shocked when they aren't respected. They are shocked when they get treated like dirt by some jerk... YOU TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES FOR A LIVING. Enjoy your bean burrito and shut up.

is cheap and misogynistic. It's the kind of sophomoric crap that 13 year old boys think is funny.

it isn't misogynistic to call a spade a spade. Everyone makes choices. Choosing to be a stripper is one where you can expect not to be highly thought of. You are exploiting your own gender and sexuality for profit. Don't try and mix bartenders and waitresses, and other service industry members into this discussion.

Sorry that I feel no sympathy for a woman who continues to make bad choices, by now taking her clothes off for a magazine and exploiting the guy she was supposedly dating by giving detailed personal accounts of their relationship.

It's utter crap to try and defend this.

So - basically - you married a stripper? Or have on in the immediate family?

You don't normally see an opinion that strong on a subject like this without some connections/experiences.

Vercingetorix is now on the record for defending strippers and unbehaved kids out in public bars...

I'm not trying to defend strippers as much as I am attacking the language in some of the posts in this thread. Equating women -- regardless of what they do with their anatomy -- with a "cheap taco" is repulsive.

I don't know any strippers now, I've only known a couple personally in my life (and never closely), and the only time I ever go in a strip bar is when somebody I know has a bachelor party. I just thought some of the posts in here were trash, and when I see trash I usually attack it.

This isn't any kind of a modern PC thing; this is about the basic respect that a man ought to have for any woman. You think Sinatra or Bogart talked about how strippers were just trash who should shut up and eat their bean burritos?

Took my kids to an Irish pub yesterday afternoon, as a matter of fact. They sat up at the bar and the bartenders had a good time playing with them. Too bad you weren't in the same place so that it could have pissed you off and ruined your beer.

I drink my beers in the strip club now. The only kids that can ruin my beer are the 18 year old abused/neglected girls you've been defending in this thread.

Winston Churchill probably would have and he did more than those two entertainers.
