Yes, but it more than athleticism and size. He didn't have to stick his nose in the middle and take on blockers as much in HS like a MLB nor cover a whole lot like a SLB. I'd say he is more likely of the 2 to move next year. This year should be SLB-Karl/MLB-Mayo/WLB-McCoy. McCoy may move to SLB though since he is the smaller of the two and may cover better. AMW may end up starting. No one knows. It is too early for that.

Agreed, Rico's and AMW's speed would allow them to stay on the field in the nickel package.

So, if there's room for another scholly, why not go back and sign one of those kickers they tried to convince to walk on? I know they talked to a kid in Dalton, but the guy really needed a scholly to even go to school...

Rico McCoy has that (WLB) wrapped up for a couple of years

Rico makes a ton of mistakes. He makes tackles but he's kinda just a wild man and doesnt play the defense. He's very undisciplined. If Donald can run the defense better then he could win the spot.

Do you think a true freshman can come in and play 35-40 snaps a game? Rico will become a better player with more game experience. Chavis will drill it into him that he has to run the play like Chavis calls it.
