Everyone knows my stance on this coaching staff. That's not what this is about. I simply want to talk basketball with you guys. Cuonzo had probably 3 minutes of actual talk time with the guys in the hudle. Someone please explain the following...

1) Why did we run the same inbounds play twice? There was more than enough time to draw up a different play but he drew up the same play for the second time.

2) How could a college coach not be offensive minded enough to draw up a play with more than one option? The first and only option was not there because they had already seen it and knew what was coming. That is why you have more than one.

3) You want the ball to be in Mcrae's hands if possible but when everyone in the gym knows where the ball is going do you all not think it would be a good move to use him as a decoy and someone else could get a better look?

Tennessee played the 1-3-1 Zone against Florida from the 9:45 mark to about the 2:45 mark. Florida did not score a basket against it and Tennessee cut the lead from 7 to 1. Florida made two free throws and hit a three on transition and Tennessee went back to man-to-man and Wilbekin banked in a three against it to win. It is extremely difficult to get off that shot on the exterior against the 1-3-1. Tennessee put away the game at Alabama in the second half running it 17 minutes. Against Vandy they use it two minutes and got beat 36 to 24 in the paint. At Missouri, it never showed even though they were driving into the middle at will and scoring or getting fouled. The announcers were even saying here is the perfect time to use the 1-3-1. I have not seen a team yet get the corner 3 from it. I honestly believe that Martin hates any type of zone so much and its not what he wants to be shown as as a coach. He wants to be known as the guru of man-to-man defense to the point he loses games because of it. Can you even imagine what the record would be now if they had been throwing it out there all year? Instead Missouri just knocked them onto the bubble and took their 11 seed!

I really feel for our players. CCM is so incompetent you have to question what they are thinking. It has been a horrible two games for Maymon his fumbling of the basketball has been bad, so why put him in the position to just make a simple in bounds pass?

Not to mention that one of is strengths is being a wide strong body. You would think he would be utilized in that situation as a screener.

We got a big break with the clock malfunction and were able to huddle but Martin did a poor job play calling.

The 1-3-1 would have locked the game up.

You realize we have won 19 and 20 and could win 20 again. I wanna see season like 07-08. Win 30 games.

I was actually thinking that might be to our disadvantage instead of our guys just making a play on the fly

Turns out the extra time didnt help at all (and probably did hurt)

But, no NCAA appearances so what good does it do? They could win 25 games a season and if you don't make the tourney what's the freaking point?

Stokes should have been the main option during the whole game because Missouri's bigs were in foul trouble and it is amazing that UT's wings don't look for him more often.

Tennessee shoots too many 3balls.

Those two 19 and 20 win seasons we won 8 of last 9 regular season games. This year we have lost 2 0f 3 with 6 to still be played! Georgia is coming to Knoxville resting in 3rd place in the SEC with an 8-4 record.

I'd rather Tennessee play straight through without a timeout. When I seen that timeout, I knew we were screwed. Even Jimmy Dykes called it....they knew exactly whas McRae was going to do. Clearly he gets the ball in that scenario but it was pretty obvious when he started on the far end.

Just let them play street ball, that's what they do best, because the coaching is so poor.
