More Transparency from the White House

I guarantee Sestak was offered that job. But unfortinetly, I doubt anything will come of it

Too late for playing the misquote card, he has been on every show imaginable repeating that he answered truthfully but refuses to go into further detail. I'm not sure what their strategy is on this one, it's been a strange turn of events.

pretty dumb for him to even say anything about it in the first place.

Look, they could offer him a job without saying explicitly "you get this job if you drop out of the race". By taking the job he would have to drop out of the race and problem solved. He just let the cat out of the bag that they tried this move on him.

obviously it would be understood that they were offering him this job to get him out of the race. if there is proof of the offer someone's head is going to roll. book it.

If he has proof he needs to come out with it. If he doesn't he will get blasted on the campaign trail of being complicit with a corrupt and increasingly unpopular administration. And honestly, losing support from the administration in this election cycle is probably a good thing! everyone they stand behind gets beat

he damn sure won't be implicating the WH.

Anyone up for a good conspiracy?
If Hillary has any desire to challenge Barry for the dem nomination, this little incident would help. Emmanuel is originally a Clinton guy and could possibly throw Barry under the bus. I have heard before that the relationship between Barry and Emmanuel have become strained. None of this is likely to happen, but it's an interesting conspiracy.

I've seen free passes in the media before...but between this and the Gulf oil crisis...if a republican were in office right now the NYT would have their nuts in a jar.

So, Sestak was expected to give up the potential of being a US Senator, to become an unpaid advisor? Hmm.

Now Sestak is carrying the company line about this, they finally got him on board.

Has he said anything in response to the White House? I know he's getting ready to make a statement. It'll be interesting to hear what he has to say. More than likely, it'll be supporting what the White House said.

I think that it was pitched that he would keep his congressional seat, but take on an un-paid advisory role.

The Senate seat is still more desirable, in my opinion. I suppose it depends on what advisory position it would be, and what are his political aspirations.
