I am trying to understand why you would think a new HC, whose only been a coordinator for two years, would project to be even close to a coach who has been a HC for 6 years and finished ranked 4 of those years. Strange. And I hate Tom Herman

Interestingly enough, he’s poaching the entire Iowa State staff. It’s crazy how quickly things seem to be falling apart for Matt Campbell,
Yeah, he may regret not taking advantage of his moment while he could. It’s crazy how quickly the “hit” names like him and Joe Brady, can quickly fade. Such is life.

These the same people who gave Auburn an A- for Bryan Harsin and UT a C for Heupel? I remember somebody did, just don’t remember who.

I am happy to see him get a chance to become a head coach. We all know that the game plan is developed probably as early as Sunday afternoon after a Saturday game. I am sure coach Heupel has a huge input into that plan. Practices during the week follow that game plan. If, the offense has problems scoring, I am also coach Heupel has. Considerable input in any changes to that plan. The biggest question is, how well will Golesh be able to draw up game plans without input from someone who has more experience than he has.

These idiots gush over failures like Tom Herman and sex trafficking All-Star Hugh Freeze (dude is legit, though). Alex Golesh was given bottom billing of this round of the coaching carousel with a fellow coach from a Tennessee school in Trent Dilfer. I can't wait to see Alex succeed @ USF!

Grading new FBS college football coaches: Matt Rhule gets an A, Trent Dilfer is a D+

He has never been a head coach and is at best co coordinator with Heupel so it’s probably a pretty fair grade. He may do great but it’s a huge gamble

It’s a gamble….but for someone like Heupel to relinquish play calling duties kinda tells the tale.

It’s a gamble for Golesh too….that program is garbage

D+ was the grade. I understand the facts of Alex and his position in the coaching world. When I hear D+, that means you quit talking to Mike Leach and hired Jeremy Pruitt. So Neon Deion was their Holy Grail and he went Power 5 - PAC-12. How many folks have we offered in the last ten years that have turned Tennessee down? Might hurt to tally it up. No Sanders, so we make sure we get Alex. That doesn't ring the D+ hire bell for me. The lack of experience grading starts with a B- or C in my book. D+ = D respect.

Golesh will last 3 years max at USF that’s a coaching graveyard now not even Saban couid turn them around and Golesh’s press conference was well not the best. I wish the guy the best but he is stepping into a real bad and no win situation there but hey he took the money and next step up so I don’t blame him. He can be a OC again in three years for someone.

I like Golesh but he's never been a HC before and didn't even call plays so I can understand the ranking. I think he'll do well though
