Most annoying play by play college football broadcaster

Have to agree with most...Beth Mowins needs to go.talk.to the administration of what ever school gave her a communications degree and get a refund !!!

As far as BEST though...tune into a game.once.on Westwood radio and catch Ian Eagle...dude is fire.

Living in NJ for so many years, we've heard Ian Eagle grow from a local news guy on sports talk radio, to a host, to a local hoops PBP guy, to where he is now, one of the best in the business.

He'll be the lead guy next year for March Madness, and he does the Nets PBP. Hope it doesn't go to his head, like it does virtually every broadcaster who gets to the top spots.

Gus Johnson. Fox guy, not sure I got the name right. So over emotional. I bet the guy cheers for the home team at a funeral.
To me His play by play announcing isn't that great, but he has the most iconic calls for when a big play happens.

Mine is Joe Tessator he just overstates everything and his word play just gets on my nerves when I’m watching a game, fortunately he doesn’t call many Tennessee games.
I like Tess. My least favorites are Gary Danielson and Beth Mowins.

My favorite is Sean McDonough I guess one reason is he called alot of our games on CBS in 1998 when we won it all and he is really a very good play by play guy. Ron Franklin was another really good one I miss him.. Joe Tessatore is good at calling boxing . I just wish he would dial it down some when he calls football it’s like he is trying to out do Gus Johnson.
Those two are probably my favorite. Dave Neal does a good job on the SEC network. I was glad ESPN hired him after Jefferson Pilot went away. He is very fair and professional.

I would take him over ol gary , but tbh most of em get on my nerves . Who was it that called our Pitt game last year and they were upset when we won because a certain story didn’t pan out for them ?

I believe that was Tessitore, and if it was it would be right in his wheelhouse.

Danielson isn't a play-by-play guy, but the guy who is with him, Brad Nessler, is as good as it gets.

Not to sound sexist because there are plenty of capable females out there but good lord the screech and cadence of her voice is awful, this is the only correct answer.

Good point I should have paid closer attention to the question that’s on me

Several years ago, I started muting the sound on all sports that I watch. I only turn up the volume when needed. It makes games a lot easier to watch now.

#1 All Time Worst Sports Broadcaster is Brent Muffburger. God I hated this biased bag of old hot boring air bloviating on any channel and or on any sporting event. He was like a bad case of hemorrhoid's - he just never went away and kept coming back. He's 84 but, been dead for 20 years now.

Who is panic attack man?
Kirk Morrison was his name. Never forget him.

One of my favorite quotes he has- It's 3rd down for both sides.

I went back and watched. Just youtube it, skip to Kys last drive. Turn it up real loud so you don't miss the great quotes he has.
