Bobby Graham in 1999, saving us from another "Memphis Miracle."

Not sure if this will work, since it is my first post. Either way, not sure if this is the best catch ever, but we don't win without this catch. And I think North finally gets the monkey off his back (why should it be there? He's a true freshman without many quality passes in his direction). Maybe the flood gates are open and he has major college confidence, and going forward he will be a force to be reckoned with!

Peerless had a few catches in our NC year. Big one against MSU in the SEC Championship game, before making the big one against FSU. Larry Sievers had a big one against Clemson back in his day. HUGE catch though anyway you slice it.

4 weeks ago we had ZERO play makers. We just Worley to get it to them more and have confidence in himself and them.

North is a man. Right before that play the guy behind me said "they gotta throw it to North down the field. He's the only one that can catch it." The most clutch catch ever!

Great grab. I thought that was game over when it left Worley's hand.

me too, was watching online and the stream looked like he threw it out of bounds and I was already cussing when they said "what a great one handed catch" I was like woah what??? :eek:lol:

North has a couple crucial / awesome catches in his freshman year already. Lets hope he continues to develop & becomes an ELITE Playmaker!!! A Biletnikoff winner!! We need to target him at least 10 times a game.

Peerless in 98 was most definitely a clutch catch, but North's was not only clutch, but un freakin believable. Best catch in the last 40 years.

To be fair, we shouldn't forget Da'Rick Rogers' one handed, falling out of bounds catch in the endzone on 4th and goal that saved us from losing to Vanderbilt in 2011.

And 4th down a bama many years ago

I know the pass from Clausen you are referring to. I think it was 2001 at Tuscaloosa. That was HUGE.

However, the receiver (can't remember name now, Cedric Wilson?) didn't have to one hand it with the defender in his face.

Both catches were clutch but the actual catch by North was much more physically impressive.

It was CJ Fayton and that was not so much a clutch catch as it was a clutch THROW. It was an easy catch especially when compared to North's masterpiece. I have watched this catch 20 times and it still amazes me he managed to hold it steady during the catch and after hitting the ground.
