Most disappointing team in college basketball 2010

What was the deal with both teams wearing dark uniforms in the game, red for the Rebels and blue for the Tigers?

I think you take Texas, UNC, UConn and UL and throw them all in a hat. Pull one out and you can't argue against it.

Throw Michigan in the mix, they were #15 in both the AP and ESPN preseason poll.

Finished 15-17.

Definitely the Heels for me..they showed a lil bit of promise very early in the season then Roy just couldnt get that young talent to mesh...they were soft..PG play was atrocious..and just too Jeckyl and Hydish all season...

Yeah, forgot about Louisville. I don't know how good/bad they were supposed to be this year, but they lost at home to Western Carolina.

They were projected to be in for the majority of the season.

But look how bad they played down the stretch. A stronger case could have been made for several other teams to get the nod over them, Virginia Tech and Mississippi State to name two.

Still has to go to UNC. Rebuilding would be understandable, and even conceding the ACC to Duke and getting a low seed might have been okay, but missing the tourney altogether with that much talent, however raw, is pretty bad.

And I don't understand how that happened.

Actually, the Texas scenario is just as puzzling, I guess it's more understandable when you compare Barnes to Williams.

Mich St gets an honorable mention. They had some guys just flat out suck on them.

Texas was more of a collapse IMO, UNC has just inexplicably sucked all season.

They have a stronger resume than both of those teams. I do agree though they were terrible down the stretch.

I would have to say Kentucky. I'm disappointed that the Bammers of round ball haven't lost more than they have. :cray:

Texas' going 17-0 and then completely falling apart the rest of the season has got to be the most disappointing performance this season. Most disappointing moment of the season? Kansas losing to N. Iowa.

Tough to put Miss St. in there b/c of the fact that much of their preseason ranking had to do w/ the fact that Renardo Sidney would be eligible, but was never cleared. Got to go to UNC. Ranked #4 to second to last place in ACC.
