Most hated College Football team in each state

With it being fixed, I don't see how Nevada makes any sense. Or why South Dakota fans hate Iowa? Or how is Iowa the most hated team in its own state? There have to be more Iowa fans than Iowa State fans there.

Well the Oregon and Washington makes perfect sense. But yea, I agree some of it is sort of strange. Lots of people in the midwest are tired of TX and how great they think they are, so I can see that as well.

I don't get Ohio St being the most hated in Ohio. They have no in-state rivals to weight the votes against them.

Could be the votes were aimed at the coach and not the school?

This concept is not very difficult, just because you're the most popular team in your state doesn't mean you can't be the most hated as well. If all the opposing fanbases combined, hate one common university but the hate stemming from that other university is spread out over multiple institutions then one of those other institutions can't be the most hated.

In TX, all fanbases not named TX, hate TX. Whereas if you pull TX fans some may say TTU is most hated, some may say OU is most hated or aTm etc. But if you poll aTm, Baylor, TTU, OU fans in TX etc they'll all very likely say TX is most hated. Yes they have the largest fanbase in the state but they also have the most haters against them too.

Same applies to UNC in NC. Most popular team, but if you ask a fan of any of the other bigger universities (Duke, NC Stupid, Wake, and ECU), he or she will tell you UNC is the team they hate most. Although most UNC fans will tell you Duke, there are enough that hate NC Stupid more to dilute the results. Honestly, I hate NC Stupid more than I do Duke. Duke, I actually respect; NC Stupid, not so much.

Not sure how this data was compiled, but also not sure how accurate it is. OSU in GA? Only reason I can think of is all of the MI fans living in Atl?
