It amazes me that so many posters hate success.

Haven't been real fond of Miami since '85.
Never liked Notre Dame, even less so after last year.
Oklahoma has some d!ckhead fans, but they get punked good about once a year so I can deal with them.
I'd like to hate Michigan but they have a great program, I'm sure my feelings would be stronger if we hadn't embarrassed them on 1/1/02.

Someone living in Austin should certainly be familiar with punkings where OU is concerned. The Sooners certainly deal the Shorthorns one annually.

I'll take losses in Championship Games over our recent litany of Peach Bowl disasters anyday.

We stunk up those games quite honestly because we didn't care enough. How can OU not put up a good show for the NC and Big 12 Championship game ('03)?

USC was simply that much better last year. The LSU game was essentially a road game with a battered Jason White at QB. The K-State performance was simply awful, but OU was almost assured of a BCS Championship Game berth regardless of the outcome. My point is simply that Oklahoma takes a great deal of heat on this board for failing in situations that very few teams are able to earn their way into.

No way was USC that much better last year, USC was not that dominate and was outplayed by VT, Cal, Stanford and UCLA.
It was a 50/50 shot at who would win the title, with the edge being to OU even, and they got handed big time.

I agree somewhat, although I was rooting for USC. I thought Oklahoma was by far the most dominant team in last year's regular season. I mean, how many times do you see one team playing for a conference championship held to just 59 yards. Some of us couldn't pull that off on NCAA '06. But, about USC; I don't think they were 'outplayed' and the only game they got lucky with was Cal. Stanford and UCLA played them close, yes, but USC still flat-out performed better and won. I also get tired of the USC-hating on here. Tennessee has no recent history with the Trojans, and any dissing on them is pure jealousy. It's pretty much player-hating, 'cause USC is the biggest and best player in the game right now.

Virginia Tech had them on opening game until the refs decided that there was a phantom offensive pass interference to be called that killed the Hokies momentum.
Stanford wiped the floor with USC in the first half of that game, a big 2nd half comeback by USC kept the title hopes alive.
UCLA game was just a bad played game by both teams, UCLA had it's opportunities and failed to covnert them, both teams were just flat.
USC wasn't dominant, they won games and they did the necessary things to sneak by, but OU looked to be the better and more dominant of teams last year.

When a team is .932 over three seasons with two AP National Titles, they deserve every bit of media coverage they get. That's just jealousy.

I am not a big Auburn fan. But after the Ohio State/Miami game...no one should ever say that "Auburn would NEVER have beaten USC"

Well, then I guess we won the SEC Title and lost to Florida too because of the bad officiating in those games. Bad calls happen, and unfortunately they can change the momentum of games. But a win is a win.
Second half comeback? We had to make a comeback against Kentucky. Does that mean we got beat by them?
So UCLA didn't do the things it needed to win. When that happens, the other team usually gets the win. That's how football works.
I don't know about you, but I call "Doing the necessary things to sneak by" winning. If teams didn't try to do that, they'd probably lose. Good for USC.
I will, however, agree that Oklahoma looked better than any other team after the regular season last year.

You're entitled to your opinion. It's just that anybody hating on USC right now just sounds jealous to me. USC's goal, like every other team in the country, is to win games. That's all they are doing. They're not cheating I don't think they'll be going on probation, so what's the deal? They've legitimately put themselves on top. I respect that.

Seriously... I can understand Miami, but Tennessee has no recent history with USC. It's just jealousy.
