Alabama:

Actually, that's not right. Alabama has 15 championships. A woman bought 1 of the championships on sale at Wal Mart. A guy found one in the dumpster and another made one out of rocks, sticks and glue...

Explain to me this "cheating".

The recent cheating needs no explanation.

During the Bear era, there are long standing "rumors" of payment, helping with grades, fixing legal problems etc. In other words, Bear ran the place and "problems" were ignored. It was a different era and this type of thing was not isolated to Bama.

For some reason I can only think of two but I know there were more; assistant coaches under the Bear that went on to head coaching and probation problems (see Jackie Sherrill and Danny Ford for starters). Was this continuation of tradition in a new era that didn't tolerate the same "recruiting" tactics or freelance actions by coaches who learned everything else from the Bear but learned cheating on their own?

Did Bama cheat under the Bear? To borrow a phrase from the magic 8 ball - "signs point to yes".

That being said, I don't think Bama was unique during that time.

What is more annoying is the inability by many Bama fans to accept that 1) they have been caught 3 consecutive times - as 3 time offenders the NCAA will come down hard as they did. Logan Young has been involved for years and no one at Bama did anything to stop him. The miracle is that there was NOT a finding of lack of institutional control. 2) it doesn't matter if Fulmer "told" on them. most of what Fulmer alledged was NOT investigated and was NOT part of the most recent sanctions. Most importantly, 3) the world is NOT out to get Bama. Most of the football world could give a crap. Refs don't intentionally make bad calls against Bama - they make them against EVERY team. The NCAA may have had questionable methods but Logan Young was convicted in a Federal criminal court; beyond a shadow of a doubt - not preponderance of the evidence. How could the NCAA have been out to get Bama if Bama was guilty  Paranoia is a sign of self absorbtion and arrogance. Bama will be back as a threat I have no doubt. However, at this point, the rest of the football world has better things to do than try to figure how to "GET" Bama.

I've heard you boys are quite fond of goats over in Meigs County? I find it HALARIOUS that you make fun of Georgia when you are from western NC. I'm from Winston-Salem and we are ashamed of western NC basically for the same accusation you had on people from Georgia. You deserve to go to TN. It's a perfect for you. Even you can admit that GA doesn't have a nuclear power plant that has a lake next to it where fish glow and frogs have extra legs. (And old TN rednecks who fish and think there is nothing wrong). Good ole Meigs County. My girlfriend FROM GEORGIA went to TN...Polk County I believe and she got scabes...I guess you all are immune from the filth up there. Oh well, the country has to have a crappy state so feel proud of yourselves.

ROLL TIDE

Phil has a cholesterol problem...go cholesterol!!!

Feel proud that the University of Tennessee is the most hated by everyone in the SEC.

And you see what the UT fans that live in Alabama have to go through :shakehead:

We are the bottom feeder team??? Let history speak. 45-36 record against Tennessee.

Alabama:
12 National Championships (NCAA Record)
21 SEC Championships (SEC Record)
52 Bowl Appearances (NCAA Record)
29 Bowl Victories (NCAA Record)

Tennessee:

6 National Championships (not NCAA Record)
13 SEC Championships (not SEC Record)
41 Bowl Appearances (not NCAA Record)
22 Bowl Victories (not NCAA Record)

Yeah I would say we are bottom feeders :bs: Good one partner.

Just like a typical Bammer, always living in the past....No one cares what happened way back when Bear Bryant was alive!!! This is 2005 not 1965 or whenever it was you bunch of losers got lucky and won a few games...No one cares now what went on back then because its in the PAST....You have to flaunt what happened way back when instead of what's happened recently because you have nothing to flaunt....Besides that Alabama is nothing but the arm pit of the USA

You say what you want to about Phil Fulmer but he is a better coach than what you've got right now.....Way better.....Wait until the 3rd Saturday of October and we'll see whose the better team

And have you ever thought about maybe your girlfriend had scabes before she came up here?

Sorry to my fellow Volnation memebers but something needed to be said to this punk [/quote]
Hey #10_Ainge_#10,

I really do hope this is Eric Ainge.

I have a friend at Tennessee and on Facebook there is a great group entitled:
"Erik ainge Sux For Life Go Brent Schaffer"....what is that all about? I see there are a good amount of football players that have joined as well. Please...inform me.

I'm certainly not out to get Bama. I kind of like Bama because it's starting to be just another W in our column. Yes, I realize that they have a rich history of football, but IMO that just makes Fulmers domination even better!

I like your Deadwood theme avatar by the way volinbham. Great show!

Facebook is a huge database that conects college students from almost every college together. Every school has interest groups as well. For instance if you are in a fraternity those guys can create a group dedicated to the fraternity. I noticed on my friend's account (from Tennessee) that he had the anti-Eric Ainge group so I was just curious to see what was up because I was under the impression he was well liked. What caught me off guard was that there were a few football players members of the group.

Well, I hope you aren't fooled by their names. Anyone could sign up and use those names. I highly doubt that there are strict rules on a site like that.

The only possible way to even sign up is that you must have a valid email from the school. I strongly doubt someone stole their email addresses to do that. If it makes you feel any better, my friend knows someone on the football team that verbally verified my accusation.

My cousins have the Facebook and say everyone they know is obsessed with it.

so what's the point , some of the players do like him, I'm sure that not every player that played with Peyton "liked" him , but I'm sure they respected his ability

#68
Yeah - it's not like he'd be the first prima donna to ever play QB. That's for sure. And even if he's some sort of a-hole . . . winning will make most people overlook personality defects. ;)

I'm convinced that nobody on the team liked Casey. Every game it seemed like he was standing over on the sideline by himself while the rest of the team was talking and joking etc....

#71
your point was , you thought Ainge was popular but now you have evidence to the contrary because of some internet web site, so UT's football program is in trouble ........ again pointless question why do you ask?

Look I'm not here to argue and bicker. The guy who has the name of Eric mad me mad. When I saw the name it reminded me of the thing that I saw so I wanted to know if Ainge really isn't liked? I figured a "superstar Volunteer" would never be hated. Sorry that you took it the wrong way.

hey no problem , you just have to realize that most proclaimed bama fans that come in here come with nothimg but flaming in mind so some of us are a bit touchy and we had just been introduced to puke boy just before you join ...so peace

Honestly... Ainge was not that well-liked in high school, either. But we root for him anyways 'cause he's reppin' us as the second best football player this school has ever put out.
