Most Likely "if" Surprises tomorrow?

Is there any more room to flip a guy at this point? Butch just signed like six or seven 2 or 3 star players in a row per Rivals. That seems like Butch is packing up the tent and heading on. Shows over folks. Seems like he lost out on the players he wanted and then scrambled to get the B team together right there in the last month leading up to tomorrow.

I'm not trying to bash. That's a legitimate question and observation. What do you think?
Of course room can be made. That may be a "legitimate" question, but it looks as if your follow-up statement was the purpose of this entry "...like six or seven 2 or 3 star players..." and so on don't comprise any sort of question. Why don't you simply admit you're making excuses to jump in with your disdain for Butch and quit BS-ing around? This class...as it is today...has several players who'll fill desperate needs; a 4* and a 5* O- lineman (#1 in the nation) along with some RBs, LBs, DBs and D-linemen of need will cause the depth dilemma to vaporize. You're wasting your time, anyways, as such an assessment won't hold water. Pick a new team to back, because Butch is going to be in Knoxville for quite a long time. AMIRIGHT?

I would say a 3* player that comes out of nowhere. It most likely wont be a big fish like Ray. So we finish close to 20th in the class rankings.

Don't take it personal BigTX. I'm sure once you have posted ten or eleven thousand times it will all be good. Every one of them will be top notch. Never have understood taking shots at each other when we are all on the same team fan page.

EXACTLY!!! We're a family, of sorts. We won't always agree on topics, but that doesn't mean we should badmouth someone for their opinion/mistake/whatever.

Had we won the USC & Vandy games and at least appeared in the S.E.C.C.G., we would have had a much better class.
This season gave recruits nothing to believe in.
Yes, we have about five players who will be drafted in the N.F.L.

We all know about waiting on Ray, But unlike years past hadn't heard if there is enough chatter around potential other "surprises"? Anyone have any best guesses on WHO if any?

Nothing changing here. Get some sleep and relax. Read about all it Thursday after the LOI's have been "faxed" in.

Isaiah Wilson and Deangelo Gibbs flip from Georgia.
Dylan Moses and Alex Leatherwood flip from Alabama.
Shaun Wade and Jeffrey Ocudah flip from Ohio State.
Amari Rogers and Tee Higgins flip from Clemson.
Jaelen Phillips flips from UCLA.
Cam Akers flips from Florida State.

LaBryan Ray and Marvin Wilson Commit and sign with Tennessee.

Other than that, a pretty boring National Signing Day.

And Gruden flies in tomorrow at 9am sharp to become head coach and make all that happen...

20th ranked class would be bad and show alot of regression in recruiting. No sense deluding ourselves. There's a difference between bashing and being real.

There's no such thing as having a poor recruiting class being part of any grand plan. Bama has had the top class for like 7 or 8 years in a row. Not saying we should be as good as them. Heavens no....but a 20th ranked class is bad. Period.

Here's hoping we end up much better than that.

Thigpen failed miserably in recruiting this year. Time for him to go. Great recruiter my azz and horrible LB coach.

Most top 2017 recruits had already released their top 5 lists by the time the SCAR game happened. Those losses may affect our 2018 class but they didn't do much for our 2017 class. The sad truth is unless a team is winning conference and national championships on a regular basis then on the field results don't matter as much as early playing time, putting players into the NFL, coaching style and stability, campus lifestyle, closeness to family, etc.
