Neither. When it comes to Alabubba, Tennessee couldn’t beat their cheerleaders. It’s getting silly.

I was leaning towards basketball being ranked number 7 and all then out of no where Tennessee was defeated by Alabama at home tonight so I don’t what we are? Certainly not football?
As long as Barnes is HC and Pruitt/Fulmer is HC. I would say we a basketball school till they both gone. Then once Pruitt and Fulmer are gone then VOL Football has a chance to be great again but not till then.

We got beat by a football school in both so we are just Tennessee and Bama won't let us have nice things.

It’s just one loss in a long season - pretty silly that it comes to a fairly mediocre conference opponent right after we slapped around a quality team (Missouri), but oh well.

That being said, Barnes still has something to prove. He was ready to bolt to UCLA not too long ago, and the only thing that stopped him was that they couldn’t agree to the money. Making Tennessee his home and building a lasting legacy here wasn’t his top priority - at least back then. And then there is the fact that that excellent team he had with Schofield and Williams couldn’t win the SEC tournament when it was theirs for the taking . . . and subsequently got bounced in the NCAA tourney by the University of the Little Sisters of the Poor out of Chicago when the Elite 8 and, more importantly, a Final Four appearance was well within that team’s capability.

This year’s squad has potential. If they are brought along correctly and developed, they could grow into an excellent team. I am hopeful that Barnes can do it. I hope that HE realizes that he has something to prove and lights a fire under this team.

GO VOLS!

Basketball has been the better program over the last two decades, and by all indications will likely be the better program over the next two. We're a basketball school

Both, we've always been good at basketball. We won a NC in hoops the last year we won one in football and 2 since then. The fact the men's basketball is just now catching up is irrelevant. Unless you want to face down Coach Summitt in the afterlife, you better recognize.

All I can say is when you’re a Vols fan you better keep your cup on because when You least expect it you’re going to get a good kick in the nut$

We are a University of higher learning where most people enjoy some non academic activities such as sports. If you don't enjoy the sports, stay home.
