I agree with what your saying. A lot of times that first round game is a trap game for a lot of teams. My point is, South Carolina or anyone else isn't going to hurt Tennessee at all because we are going to be right on the bubble until the end of the season anyways. A first round game seems to only help us by getting another win, gaining some momentum to possible face another bubble or locked in team. If we end up a 6 or 7, that would likely put is facing Bama or Mizzou. If both of those teams take care of business, they are no doubt in but I can see Bama peaking to early and falling off and Mizzou has been pretty inconsistent and done poorly on the road. I'd love a tune up game before taking it to one of those teams. I for sure agree that avoiding Ole Miss is good for us. If I could pick another team, it would no doubt be Mizzou. I just don't see us matching up well with them either.
