Movies ruined by crappy endings

I hated the end of Remember the Titans. The truth is that they won the state championship game like 30-0. They were the #2 ranked team in the country. Also most of the schools they played were integrated and had been integrated for like 3 years. Gary Bertier got paralyzed when he was like 22, so it obviously didn't impact their football season. The whole movie is a lie. I guess I never saw that twist coming.

Just curious, but how would you prefer that series end?

That's just it. Technically, that wasn't the end of the series. There are supposed to be 3 more installments that involve Leia and Han's kids. The way ROTJ ended, it tied everything up into a nice package and made it appear as though all was well in the galaxy. Plus, I didn't care too much for Ewoks.

The Ewoks did suck. But I liked the movie as a whole.

According to Lucas, he's never had a sequel trilogy planned. Then again he claimed he had the whole SW story planned from when he did ANH, and I think that's a bunch of garbage. There's no way he had the prequel crap planned.

Plus I'd say give it about 5 more years or so and we'll probably get Episodes 7-9, though after 1-3 I don't think I ever want him doing any more.

That has to be one of the most overrated sports movies ever. You can see every plot twist coming from a mile away and some of the football action is flat out comical.

Agreed on all points. The white QB can make any throw on the field, but can't make a simple pitch? So stupid.

Great call on repo men. I have a penis, so I still haven't seen Thelma and Louise. I would like to add the last Raiders of the Lost Ark to the list. That just pissed me off. I know you guys will laugh, but I thought the end of Talledega Nights sucked as well. I was disappointed with the end of The Visitor, but it probably had to end that way.

What was wrong with Raiders of the Lost Ark?

Theatrical version of Salt. Directors cut made more sense.

He said the last Raiders of the Lost Ark which I think he means Indiana Jones film, and that was "The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull".

But that doesn't make any sense either because this thread is supposed to be about discussing good movies with bad endings and that movie was just bad.

Maybe he's talking about the stupid part where the Ark of the Covenant kills all ze Germans.

Not trying to derail the thread but Biblically (is that a word) that's what would've happened if someone opened the ark. Technically only certain ones were even allowed to touch it

Jurassic park. They all died in the book.

Sarcasm? In fact (as portrayed in the movie) Malcolm is a primary character in the 2nd installment in the series. IIRC Hammond is killed towards the end of the first book. For that matter the lawyer that got T-Rex munched in the 1st movie actually survived in the book. Been a long time but I'm almost positive even the park's animal control guy (the one that gets ambushed after the "Clever girl." reference in the movie) survives in the book.

I do know that they (the local government, Costa Rica maybe?) bombed the island at the end of the first novel.

No they didn't. Grant, Ellie, and the kids made it away safely. I just read it this summer.

I actually did like the ending to The Prestige.

Recently, I hated the ending to Source Code. I thought it ruined an otherwise great movie.
