Just saw AntMan yesterday and I really enjoyed it. Very slick movie. Michael Pena is really great in this movie.

It Follows - 7

Not sure what all the raving is about... yes, it's an above avg horror film but I wasn't blown away by it. Overall, the whole film just seems like one big metaphor regarding how STD's can seriously ruin one's life!

There were some good moments and the sound track is an awesome throwback to 70's and 80's horror classics, but the scares in this one seems to rely too much on the jumpy "gotcha" moments; not true horror IMO.

The monster/thing was menacing, but wasn't scary or frightening at all. Even someone with avg strength/intelligence could overcome this thing's attack. The only real terror is the dull burn of the character knowing they would never rid themselves of this thing (Gonorrhea, cha cha cha)

Acting was okay; nothing jumps out as huge positive or negative here.

Personally I felt like the whole time I was waiting for when it would appear. It was the tension of, ok this thing can catch up to her at any time, that I enjoyed. Every scene I was waiting for it. Was it scary? No. But I did thoroughly enjoy it.

pretty much agree with most of this, though I would disagree with you on the bold. the camera work, editing, tension, and soundtrack, were all pretty huge positives.

That's what I was thinking. It relied on tension. Left you wondering when or where it would appear. I don't see what jump scares he was referring to.

except not really. vast majority is quite a bit of a stretch. especially when you're just referring to the marvel movies.

and that wasn't really my point anyway (as in i wasn't saying Ant Man was going to be good). think about it a bit harder.

Early-Mid 90s Sandler was pretty good. Since then he's been almost total crap, except a few independent and/or dramatic roles.
