The Voices- Well, that was strange. Got a little too weird for me at times (up to the point it completely took me out of the movie), but I really dug most of the goofy, violent story, and Ryan Reynolds was good as usual. Also, an extra point cause Anna Kendrick is so damn adorable. 5/10
I'm still confused by that movie. I find my self beating my head against a wall, in agony trying to figure out what the hell that was. I think I need an exorcism.
sit down and have a beer instead. it's easier and less painful.
there's not much to the movie, just a very twisted, dark comedy. emphasis on the dark, sometimes to the point i was a little put off. could also argue that it shows a slightly empathetic view into the mind of a schizophrenic, though, their execution on that was only so-so. i also wasn't really a huge fan of some the artsy, indie aspects they threw in (like the end credits).

City of God: 9.5/10
I'm not a big fan of subtitles, but this foreign film was definitely worth watching. Great acting, solid script, and a compelling true story told in vivid detail. I know much of the gruesome action scenes are for cinematic effect, but it's still the kind of film that opens your eyes to how good most of us have it here. Great movie.
