You are probably right but it’s hard not to. I mean if you think about it it makes sense. You see 2 DL in the portal. One is from Louisville and one is from Clemson. Without seeing anything else, you automatically defer to the Clemson DL being better. Why? Clemson is one of the best teams in the country with elite coaching staff and evaluators. Same thing with Bama. Saban is the unquestioned GOAT and he has put a ton of guys in the NFL.

So it’s kind of easy to see why you would look at Bama that way.

Turnage starts at CB, Aub transfer at other corner and AT at nickel. Let Tank/Flowers/Theo/McDonald battle at safety. Defense is coming together rather people want to acknowledge it or not.

Better than Prunty?

Impossible to say at this juncture. It seems like the staff wanted Prunty more but who knows if they were recruiting them both at the same time? For those poopooing this pick up... if Prunty was the first choice then this guy is a pretty good consolation prize.

My point is that riding the bench at Bama doesn’t automatically make you better than an experienced, productive kid from a low P5 program...
