There are a ton of factors, money isn’t the end all with most players. Sure it’s a part of it but in most cases there are other important things. GBO!
Again guys context…im simply responding to a guy posting UGA crap on a Tennessee board. I know money is not the end all for recruits but it’s a huge advantage to have

NIL over time will help level the playing field somewhat as the Bamas, Clemsons, UGAs of the world continue just to pay players under the table like they always have. Others schools, including UT who are embracing the future will catch up over time. Despite Kirby, Saban, and Dabos self-righteous rants against "buying players" secretly the wish their schools would get a system like ours in place. May not show it next couple of years but it will over time.

Didn't take it that way at all. I love to know where recruits stand. Appreciate the posters that share when they know something significant happens in the recruitment, even when it's a Georgia visit.

Regarding championships, recruits absolutely care. Sure they may not have been rooting for the team, but they often want to play for a coach that has proven he can get there. NIL is super important as well, but not to the exclusion of winning.

Tell that to all the 5 stars leaning towards Alabama who doesn't really use NIL in recruiting and Saban is adamantly against NIL publicly

I usually agree with u but....
"You have to understand that everybody has a different amount of opportunity, relative to what's going to happen here," Saban said. "Everything in college football, everything in high school football has always been equal for everyone. It's not gonna be that way anymore."

Nick Saban: Alabama's Bryce Young earning near 'seven figures' in NIL deals

Didn't Bryce Young get a million dollar deal? Saban brought it up in a press conference. I don't think he likes it because it evens the playing field more than players getting paid. His players have been getting paid for years.

Generally enjoy your posts but Saban is an abject hypocrite who is just upset that NIL makes room for others at the top of the recruiting feed chain.

They have used NIL already. And it is pretty much accepted as common knowledge that Bama has a deeply entrenched system of fans and boosters who make sure their players are "taken care of".

In any event, you'd expect him to be upset about anything that threatens his lofty perch.

They care more about money which is my point
Recruits are like everyone else. Some are motivated by money only, some are motivated very little by money, and the rest are in between somewhere. Not sure about you but I've chosen lower paying jobs that I thought gave me better long term opportunity for success.

I honestly think Nico sees Heupel as someone who can showcase his talent. I think he means it when he says UT is home to him and he loves everything. But I don't necessarily think he'd be committed right now without a good NIL package to go with all that.

Most kids and their advisors are going to look for the best all around deal.

First off, it seems, you need to go back to bed, see if you can wake up on the other side.

Second, lesson time...nine times out of ten, in recruiting (and, yes, this is the recruiting area of the board),"follow the visits" will tell you where a kid is going. These kids that he has informed the board of the UGA visits, they are kids we, UT, are heavily involved with, looking into...you know, recruitng. We want to know where they are going, when they are going, how many times they've been there, did parents go with, did they meet a girl there...ALL of it.
