Word is that if UK somehow beats LSU this Saturday, College Gameday would be headed to Lexington for UK/MSU.

Wes Rucker was tweeting on Saturday night that there was "less than 0% chance that Mullen would be back in Starkville next year." Went on to say that he has been trying to get out of there for 2 years and that he tried hard to get the UT job when Butch got the job.

I don't know why Mullen would leave MSU. $3-5 million goes a long way in Starkville and they won't be trying to fire him for consistently going 8-4 and even having a losing season occasionally. Sure won't have to worry about being compared to any of his predecessors at State either.

If Mullen wanted the UT job and Hart chose Jones over him, he should be fired for gross negligence.

I think 2 years ago Mullen's rep wasn't what it is now. Mullen is going to have some top flight job offers in the next few years (UF?) it will be interesting to see how much $ MSU finds to keep him.

I remember plenty of clamoring for him on VN when the CBJ hire was happening. I think everybody could see that he was a good coach- it's just taken this much time for it to translate to on the field success at MSU.
