Nothing about end of the world. If Tennessee is up a large margin and option is try a fg or just run the ball and either gain first down for more time to go off the clock or try a fg. Simple question. YOU just read more into it then there was.
As stated earlier, the head coach will not do anything any differently. He will play the situations exactly the same as before. CJH isn't concerned about one game where his kicker had the YIPS. If it becomes a pattern, then the conversation might change. Most coaches don't coach based off of one game's result.

We keep playing like we have been in the first halves. We may not.
And if we play like we can, we also may not. We have been very close the last two games. If it all clicks, then the hand wringing might actually stop for some.

If Tennessee is up by a good margin and Heupel
Has a chance for a fg, short or long, do you think he will give Gilbert a chance for gaining some confidence?
Probably, but if he misses badly again you’ll probably see Turbyville get a chance. Can’t have a kicker with the yips going into the home stretch.

Gilbert will continue to kick FGs. The only way to break out of the slump is to keep kicking. It’ll hurt Gilbert’s confidence more if he isn't allowed to kick FGs.

We will kick fgs when appropriate even if we are not “up a large margin”.

Your dumb/loaded question is dumb

And your response is as stupid as you are. Keyboard warrior. Don’t like the question. Then just move on. Instead of flapping your gums.

The way our offense has been, and as good as our Defense has been every point matters. The kid needs to get back on track, we will need him.

Im Not saying don’t use him. I’m saying if let’s say we are up 28-30 points and it’s 4th quarter and it’s 4 and 2 at the 25. Go for it or give Gilbert an attempt. That’s all.
Still depends, really. Nine minutes left in the 4th? Yeah probably kick it. Close enough to time to be thinking about just running out the clock? Ground and pound. I'm still basing it on "where are we in the game" and not so much on building a kicker's psyche. He's gonna be fine.
