UGA freshman defensive back Sheldon Dawson will interview with an NCAA representative on Friday, according to the Memphis Commercial-Appeals Kyle Veazy.
Dawsons high school coach told the newspaper that Dawson expects the topic of conversation to be about Mississippi State.
When asked to confirm Fridays meeting between Dawson and the NCAA or the nature or it, UGA spokesman Claude Felton told the AJC, We cant confirm or deny anything because the University prefers not to comment on NCAA matters, but also the NCAA prefers that schools not comment on NCAA matters.
For Mississippi State, its appears to be the latest in a wave of bad news for the SEC school.
Last week, Mississippi State acknowledged in a press release that it was investigating a potential recruiting irregularity with the NCAA.
Last week, The Dispatch reported that there was an NCAA inquiry involving Mississippi State freshman defensive back Will Redmond and a car.
Also on Tuesday, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger reported that Mississippi State has disassociated itself from an unnamed booster for impermissible contact.
