I think Mueller ultimately, but it was pretty clear from today's testimony that he wasn't involved in the details. Folks under him are the ones who actually wrote the report and did the investigating, and he probably just read it once it was completed. The biggest unanswered question from today is "Who was actually in charge of the Mueller Investigation?"
The key to what, impeachments not going to make it past the Senate. Meanwhile right now under several microscopes are the people who engineered this whole debacle.. It's intellectually dishonest for anyone on here to say it doesn't matter what debauchery took place to get to this point. The path matters. That's the key.
On the one hand, Wallace is conceding that the hearing won't change any minds... so, how can it be considered a "disaster"? That is typical Fox News hyperbole. At worst, it was a waste of time. Mueller simply wasn't engaged in the hearing. It was pretty obvious that he didn't want to be there and he wasn't going to go the extra mile to defend the report from partisan attacks. He was caught not remembering some things that were in the report and it didn't look like he had prepared himself at all. However, whenever Trump goes on one of his "no collusion, no obstruction" rants in the future, the Democrats will have a video to point to, instead of just a written report. That is a positive.@DC_Vol Chris Wallace sums it up nicely.
Chris Wallace: Robert Mueller hearing has been a 'disaster' for Democrats
That is not true... Impeachment was already dead. We are less than 16 months away from the election and Pelosi has never been in favor of it. Democrats wanted some video documentation from Mueller that couldn't be twisted around like a pretzel by the spin doctors on Fox News. This entire circus was only meant to move the ball on impeachment. The TDS was so strong they didn’t realize how this was a backfire waiting to happen.
A couple of highlights:
Mueller agreed with Rep. Adam Schiff's characterization that seeking campaign assistance from a foreign power was "unpatriotic" and "wrong", and that candidates for high office must be held to a high standard.
Mueller agrees with Rep. Val Demings assertion that Trump's written answers were not always truthful. It is written in the report itself that Trump's written answers were inadequate and incomplete, but it was not specifically stated that the answers were untruthful, so that was something new.
Yeah, let's just accept redstate.com's take at face value. It's not like they are partisan or anything.Mueller Gets Absolutely Crushed by Rep. Matt Gaetz After Trying to Dodge Steele Dossier Question
Sorry everyone, Mueller is still a fraud.
